I want to enjoy my time as an S/O and have a drink in as many bars around the world as possible, that was why I got into this industry.
Brilliant!

However I bet you failed to mention that one at your interview..

G'day guys just wondering how many people are sitting on letters of intent that run out in November?

Seems as though the rat is leaving it to the last minute to notify us if there is a November course.

Unhappy ???????

I heard yesterday that the incoming CP has decided that the forecast numbers need re-visiting/evaluating...... So after the many weeks of evaluation and the "we will let you know in 2 weeks", there is another delay until the numbers are re-calculated. I have a LOI that states sep to nov and have been led to believe that it may blow out until Feb 08......... arwell im sure it will be great when it eventually happens

Rhodes13,Yes I am a australian passport holder. So do I have to go back to school if I want a job with Qantas ? Just seems a little strange for the maths/physics requirement, If I am already flying the 737.

Hole in one! But you can do an approved shortened course

hey guys, just had a couple of qs about appling for direct entry. Ive just finished my last atpl and want to put an application in. I have about 950Total and 480 multi. Is the competitive?

Im just wondering what you think of those prep courses like PATS?
Are they worth doing? or cann recruitment see stratight thru you, that you have obviously done one of these courses?

Do you think it really gives you an advantage in the recruitment process?

Congratulations!

Your going to love every moment of it!
At least I did anyway

Is this a 2008 or 2009 start?

Relbaj: The choice ultimately comes down to you whether you want to do the course or not. It undoubtedly helps (if they boast a 98% pass rate) but what I did was just purchase a nice suit and bought some aptitude papers to practise on. In the end I got through and now I'm a FO for QF.

Anyone heard news for a December start?

Has gone quiet all of a sudden.

Last word from Recruitment was that numbers were still being sorted for Dec and Feb courses.

Equatorial, as far as i know the Dec course now has only 4 on it and they have aleady been notified. Last I heard from recruitment was that the Jan course was up in the air as to whether it will proceed but the Feb course was more solid. Not aware of anyone who has been told a definite start for either of those so as usual it's just a waiting game.

Ok thanks Brown Hornet

I wonder what type(s) the December four will be on????

Maybe we should all go and drive taxi's for a living...

At least there is no delay in recruitment

My guess would be A380 or A330.......

Heard that the B744 training has slowed down until early next year.....

Then again only Q recruitment really know or don't know what is going on.
