Gidday Cadet 4 life!

If you live long enough, you'll probably see or hear just about everything. But Jeeesus!!!

The fact you came back with a response fairly quickly makes me feel you are on the level. But just in case, are there any others out there who would like to comment on what could only be described as an apalling act.

From what I have heard, the Cadets are a group of intelligent, motivated (if somewhat impressionable) young men and women. To be given a dose of this kind of industrial bastardry, at this delicate stage of their career could only be described as despicable.

I'll do a bit of digging. I sincerely hope it's not true!

There goes my application...

After reading the appalling treatment delivered, I am pulling my application.

I spent my initial posts defending what I thought was 'unfair' and 'biased' treatment - boy was I wrong Krusty 34.

I will not work under a regime that conducts themselves like that.

I have a source (who is a Mangalore) who states that is exactly what occurred, and that ANY loyalty the cadets had is now gone!

Interestingly apparently one of the cadets recorded the 48 min tirade on his mobile phone, and gave the file to the 'dismissed' cadet.

What a joke.

No worries at all Capt..

Believe it or not I would rather some of the stuff that is written about REX to in fact be wrong! As the pressure builds, and the gradual realisation by LKH and his cronies that they have completely F#cked up their handling of this crisis, we will probably see more irrational behaviour.

Good luck with your career mate. Feel free to PM me if you need any advice.

To the Cadet who showed so much backbone and was so terribly treated as a result, my heart goes out to you. Don't let them beat you however. Use whatever means at your disposal to bring any injustice to account. The days of a cosy meglomanic relationship between operators has gone. Other Airlines would hopefully applaude your integrity.

And when you get your posting, give me a call. I'll fly with you.

Quick, distribute copies!

Perhaps the footage of LKM's rant could be copied around amongst the cadets who were forced to endure it and then copied on youtube.

I'd hurry up though, I'm sure the REX stooges read these pages and they may be already looking for that file. Someone here has already told them who is holding it. It would be a great pity if they got their hands on the only copy and it disappeared forever.

When it is posted on youtube could someone post a link here, I'm fascinated to hear how the big boy presents/disgraces himself.

Tirade.

Get this file on you tube or pm me and I'll host it on the web for you. Enough is enough of this crap. I also had an app in a while back and also pulled it a while back. I had for many years as a ppl'er up to cpl wanted to work for Rex. I am disgusted at what they have turned the company into. A once great company ruined. Dheads!!

I was thinking of going for this cadetship...
this is giving me second thoughts now..
I'll see what happens though in future... if i were to get in, i'll see what the current cadets think after they finish I guess...

The airline industry seems to be quite the hard business...

Angry More details...

Pyrotek,

My source also tells me that another cadet questioned the maths for the training with LKH.
Apparently it costs REX $100 p/h for the training aircraft. However, in regards to the loaned amount of 80k, the cadets are being charged aropund the $300 p/h. For the $100p/h route it costs around 37- 40K (NOT 80k).
When the cadet brought this to LKH attention and asked why the discrepancy, he said "How dare you question me", followed by the fact that "we have 2000 other people who want your spot".

He then apparently told them all that before the end of the day, they had to tell the CFI whether they wanted to stay. And if they heard nothing, it would be assumed that they wanted to leave.
marvellous that!!

Oh and apparently more than 1 person has a copy of the tirade!

Whilst it is a distastefull event, there are only two choices before you:

1) Accept it, shut your mouth and live to regret it, and you will, you have seen how you are to be treated as an employee, assuming the company is still around to offer you the promised job, or,

2) Vote with your feet, there are plenty of great flying schools around Australia that would love to teach you to fly, first jobs are alot easier to find than 10 years ago, you do not want to be referred to as "one of those cadets" for the remainder of your career.

The choice is yours, there is only one reason why Mr CEO has treated you this way, it is because he believes he can, i.e you would let him, is this the case ?.

I cant wait to see rex fold, the airline doesnt deserve to be running, after all the bad treatment to pilots etc pays etc , spining lies to the media about pilot shortage crap those are the only 2 excuses they have . pilot shortage and fuel increasing in price , all these new fuel surcharges one after another ..

im also keen on hearing this brief of how the cadet was treated. should send it in to today tonight or current affair.
i know wat its like to be treated unfairly and when investing 80grand youd wanna be treated like royalty when handing over that money.
take the recording to the media i say. let the public know what an embarassing unprofessional company rex is .
somebody needs to start a new regional airline and takeover these fools im sick of buying the newspaper and reading the same thing over and over. rex bla bla fuel price bla bla pilot shortage

Interestingly I 'accidently' sent an e-mail to the editor of the SMH and encouraged him to read these posts.

rex will probably post to the media that they are stressed on how the the fuel prices are increasing that they cant help treating their cadets badly due to stress ha ha even riping the cadets off with training.
im paying 55 grand for my training including all boooks and landing fees etc, 300total time. including MECIR. these poor kids are forkin out 80grand where the hell is all that money going too. rex taking advantage of these poor cadets.

If someone has a recording of the Wily Oriental Genleman's tirade and there are witnesses to the public dismissal of the cadet, there could be strong legal grounds for a lawsuit. If all the cadets pulled the plug simultaneously, mounted a class action for non-delivery of the goods, intimidation etc etc there could be some money to be made here. Maybe even enough for each to then fund a licence course independently and not be beholden to these bottom feeders of aviation.

Full Flaps Please.

I have received a PM from your Grandson. I attempted to reply, but his PM's have been blocked. (any Ideas mods?)

If he chooses to make contact again, tell him for what it's worth, I am more than happy to reply.

Regards,

Krusty.

Hey Krusty

I have to wonder whether or not they have been intimidated to not talk to anyone ie. 'confidentiality agreements'. By now the fact a recording is out there is probably known by the board.
I imagine the way they operate they have been threatened, which for young people would be pretty frightening.
I sincerely hope its leaked to the public. That way no one will want a part in their circus in the future.

How things changed from their (cadets) first day when LKH and the board flew down for 'beer, bbq and bull****'!

Yeah, I know Capt...

We can hope that the boss will see the error of his ways, and appologise to these young men and women! Sorry, couldn't help it.

Hopefully though it won't all end in tears, but I somehow doubt it. For at least one young recruit it seems it already has.

Full Flaps Please.

A slight case of mistaken identity. I've just recieved another PM and it seems the one I have been talking to is not your Grandson. Sorry for any confusion.

The more I think of it...

...the more I am amazed that the board allowed this sort of behaviour to occur. Members of the board are responsible for what happens inside a company, if the manure hits the fan they will have some explaining to do. I would have thought that a sense of self-preservation might have kicked in and someone would have put a stop to his highness before too much damage was done. Apparently nobody on the board has enough guts.

I wonder if Sunfish has read these recent posts, he has posted some pretty interesting stuff about this sort of person.
