Ahh NTK, the trusty C206 seen landing in the Coomera River. I have some pics of the old girl that I will post up later.
Quite a few float pilots have cut their teeth on that Machine!

short finals and discussing how you hope those bloody gloves don't break again when you're armpit-deep in a cow's bits?
Just a guess ;-)

PS: and a bonus point if you can guess the topic of conversation right then (nothing sterile about my cockpit !).
DF.
Burketown it is!
A first for me - flown over it a few times but never landed there before. What a top spot - the aerodrome at least. Clean toilets and a credit card bowser that actually works - one up on our national capital there! I was surprised by the number of aeroplanes parked there.
Conversation was something like: "Look at that! We could chuck lures and catch a Barra right off the end of the runway"!
Arnold, that hand belongs to my techie and fishing mate - looks pretty relaxed to me! He has flown all over northern Australia with me. Only time I have seen him get a little nervous was 1) when we nearly gave a big roo that ran in front of the aeroplane a haircut, and 2) when we had to put down on a road north-west of Charters Towers.

While we're on the topic of Burketown..... here are a couple of shots from the last wet season.
And just for a bit if fun.....
The result of a Bush Turkey vs a King Air..... luck it only got it's head wraped around the left main in the flair and missed the prop!

Hitting one of them would really ruin your day.
