The Home of Photos in Dunnunda! Mk I
Jaba,
Is that the big bird out at Watts Bridge? I was out there a few years ago for 36 TAC Course (doing platform airdrop sorties from a C-130H). While we were waiting for the next sortie an old Dutch bloke (Caretaker I think) showed us through the hangar and the big bird. Some goodies in that place.
P.s. You might remember the fuel bowser being out of order for a while in late 2002 after a Landrover, dropped from 1000ft, landed on it! Not our finest hour!

Had a ride in the old AN2 a few years ago with Capt Barry - certainly not the smoothest of machines - but still have memories of taking off basically across 12 at MC in a strong breeze!

Thats the one!
Hangar stil has a lovely Tiger Moth, as you remember, not sure what else was there as some of it has been sold off.
And what did that fuel pump ever do to you!
XXX.......you get into enough trouble as it is!

VH XXX is that a recent landing into a little airfield near melbourne? Think your hitchhiker had a ball. Really nice of you to have offered the ride. Any more pics of the trip?

Dribler....I now get it......the Cap, I see, well thats not my head in the cap.....but the owner of said head and cap frequents here quite a bit......very quiet chap though.....and he may want to keep it!
Griffo.....as explained above, its not my toy, and as for fuel consumption.....well I reckon she must be a two stroke! The fuel to oil ratio must be about the 25 - 50:1 .
I do not know the numbers but I am sure it will not take long for someone who knows to pop in.
You should have seen the oil down the right hand side after the run, at the start it sprayed about 4 sq.M of the fuse, and another 4 of the lower wing black!
The most efficient fuel to noise converter I have seen!
