I've got some very similar photos Pinky. Fred Gasset and Wanderin_dave have the correct answer for my money.

What great fun that used to be.

TWheels....nope...they shut down whilst still on the runway (with an Air Nelson Dash 8 only 6 mintes away)...was actually a flat tyre...and they were the first aircraft to use the new (yet to be opened) sealed taxiway ECHO.

Whats the latest "guesstimate" from the airport company on when the parallel rwy will be opened?

Dropped in here yesterday! Some of the beautiful country I get to play in every day
No takers huh? I guess that means I win!

Big river? Bitumen road? Savannah woodland?

Hint: The base turn is over the top of what Leichhardt describes in his journal as "the camp of the three rocks"! The three rocks can be seen in the video - granite in the river bed, sandstone on the righthand river bank and basalt on the lefthand river bank.

For Beach King, I would suggest as well as a Q it has 'pie' in its name, and bears somewhat West from his abode.

Doc,
Is it on the Leichardt R system??
The country type looks quite familiar, but I definitely haven't been into that strip.

A fatted calf each for Jaba & Clear To Land for getting no:2 correct.
Quilpie it is.

As for No:1.... No FTDK. It is not Chez Beach.
I will offer a further hint.
It used to have the best prop dinging rocks in all of Australia until quite recently.
It now sports tar and lights!!!!! and (I am reliably informed) will soon have a pest-proof fence!
I just wonder how many cases of dynamite the fencing contractor will need to make post holes for this fence
