I wouldn't know stormy, very likely it was this a/c if you saw a TBM 850 as there are only 2 in the country, an this one gets around a lot!
It wouldn't happen to be VH-MRJ by any chance? If so, I saw it a few months ago. There was talk of them trading it in for something faster if I remember correctly.

SOrry about the picture quality...bad light and lack of skill!

I could be mistaken but I think you can just make out the cowl flap under the louvre on the engine which makes it a 310.

Pyro,

Hervey Bay is closer...... but only about 1% the way there.

Its going to take a really really sharp pair of eyes to get this one, but I know there is at least one PPRUNE regular who will know

Keep em coming, I will let you know when its correct!

After a long night flight:-

I reckon it's a C310 (I don't think it's a C402 as all the one's I ever flew had paint discoloration behind the louvres, caused by hot air blowing over the turbocharger).

And do I see the tip of a feathered prop? Was it on a CoA air test?

Just my guess.

Lotsa the old 402s (402/402A/402B) still around.

I reckon that pic was taken out the window of a C310R situated at S15 00 E140 00 at A100 doin about 165kts, with a pilot playing on his phone to stave off boredom and ignore his @rse goin to sleep.

an old 402...

This one (VH-IGU) has been around YSBK for a while now.
It has been used for quite a number of endorsements in the last year or so.

This photo was taken 2 weeks ago.

Went for a ride in it not too long ago...
