It looks like the carpets were also blue and gold in 1953, so I'm not sure to read too much into this:

Gracious me: I watched the whole Service and did not see the Ukrainian flag. I hope that many in the rest of the world saw the significance.

My small role today was bell-ringing: we rang two new call-changes, Orb and Sceptre, in addition to the traditional Kings sequence. The band dressed in blue white and red, and fizz was consumed ....... bell ringers have a long tradition of a tipple in the ringing chamber.

My third coronation.

Nice of him to add the phone number, address and email address, I wonder how many spoof calls, emails and pizza deliveries they are now getting.

on a side note pre their arrival.

Interestingly post the Kremlin hit, propagandist’s are back tracking on the nuclear posturing, red lines and all, saying they should expect more UAV’s and they change nothing.

Prigozhin explicitly announced the termination of PMC Wagner's participation in the war effective immediately, citing the loss of battle-worthiness due to significant losses caused (he claims) by MoD's artificial throttling of supply of munitions to Wagner.

Says only 10% of required rounds provided to Wagner as of May 1 (down from 30% as of 2023), leading to unsustainable losses.

Says remaining troops will be parked for recovery and retraining at bases in Russia "until danger to Russia is gone"….

If you're confused about what all of this means, do not despair, you're not alone. I asked my long time Wagner pal. He goes: "I am asking this question myself, I cannot forecast what's happening next, all is unclear"…

Signs of 🇷🇺 preparing to leave Melitopol:
- 🇷🇺 passport office closed, equipment moved out, torn passports found.
- 🇷🇺 mil personnel seen switching to civilian clothing, discarded uniforms found in dumpsters.
- Deadly surprises left: mines attached to trees, ready to cause harm.

More signs of 🇷🇺 panicking: Massive queues at Chongar & Kalanchak checkpoints on the way to Crimea. Others already waiting for 5+ hours.

Vehicles with special permits & military personnel bypassing the queues. Reports suggest some trucks may carry stolen/looted goods from Ukraine.

It appears Lurch and the Wagner may no longer be in favour, reports that if they try to retreat from Bahkmut, they will be destroyed. If that is the case one wonders if Lurch will turn his boys loose on the Russian army and Chechens.

Wow you need to watch this, the figures are staggering, as are some of the facts he mentions.

Wagner was having a complete turn over of troops in Bakhmut every 4 months due to killed and wounded, he has lost in total 170%.
some of the ammunition supplied was unserviceable class 4 which he was grateful for?

Wow, Lurch is going to be one grumpy zoid. Imagine, getting sideways with Z team just the way that he has been with his own troops. Shades of Stalingrad. Upside? lots of opportunity for promotion for those that survive the tiff.

As noted by the strategic mastermind, Lt Edmund Blackadder,
"god is very quick these days...!"

In the meantime, Rock Rachon calls it as he sees it with Dimmy Medvedev's latest distribe. Worth listening to, he has a very dry sense of humour.

Russian Su-35 intercepts Polish L410 TURBOLET over Black Sea

A Russian Su-35 fighter jet attempted to intercept the Polish Border Guard L410 TURBOLET aircraft participating in the MMO Western Black Sea 2023 mission.

This is a joint operation conducted by Romania and coordinated by Frontex. Poland, Spain, and Sweden participate in it, along with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA).

The incident occurred on Friday, May 5, at about 13:20 near the Romanian coast in the area designated for the mission.

The Russian Su-35 entered the MMO Western Black Sea 2023 mission zone in radio silence and carried out aggressive actions against the Polish aircraft.

The Polish Border Guard reported that the Russian fighter jet flew three times at a dangerous distance from the Polish L410 TURBOLET.

The crew noted that the distance was about 5 meters. Because of this, the Polish aircraft experienced severe turbulence. As a result, the crew lost altitude and partially lost control.

The plane was levelled and safely landed at Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport, 20 km from the city of Constanta.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported that two fighter jets of the Romanian and the Spanish Air Force were notified by NATO`s Combined Air Operations Centre in Torrejón and were ready to intervene in the incident.

“The aggressive actions of a military aircraft of the Russian Federation against an unarmed aircraft of the Frontex mission monitoring migration risk in the Black Sea is completely unacceptable. This incident is further evidence of the provocative approach of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea,” the Romanian Ministry of Defense stated….

Igor Girkin is very pessimistic today. He says it is time to start thinking about preventing Russia from falling apart because military defeat is near.

Translation:

Regular readers and listeners should remember the assessment of the situation that I laid out (and expressed) last winter. One of the theses was: "If the necessary national measures for the successful conduct of the war are not taken before May, we will not be able to win this war.

I state: NO MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN. Neither organizational nor personnel. The goals of the war have not been determined, and the inhabitants of the Planet of the Pink Ponies (PRP) have not understood that this war will be fought until one side is victorious.

Accordingly, since there is no goal, there is no strategy. No strategy - no conscious work on its implementation.

But the enemy has a strategy from the beginning and is being implemented with all its might. More and more successfully since the Kremlin is "playing giveaway" with an inexplicable enthusiasm and childlike confidence in the ultimate "contract" that is comfortable for the elderly Ponies, Elephants, and Unicorns.

Now we have to think about how to preserve the state, the country and the people in a situation of impending military defeat.

And, yes - even for a "worthy non-fatal defeat" (in which our enemies will be forced to abandon their plans for the complete fragmentation of Russia and the elimination of its sovereignty) we will have to fight long and hard. Harder and longer than it would have been if we had fought to win decisively from the outset.

And the longer the occupants of the PRP will linger in the "sweet languor" of confidence in their peaceful and happy old age (which has long come for most of the VIPs) - the less chance that in the end the Russian ship will manage to get out of the military storm and systemic crisis, without sinking (after a long and bloody troubles) into history.

Let's hope these internal bombings, fires, accidents, inexplicable drone attacks are signs that Putain, Lurch and Scabby Eva are facing a popular backlash. it can't come too soon.
Only Ruzzia itself can defeat Ruzzia.

One thing we have little knowledge of is the extent to which many Russians are opposed to the actions of their government. Only clues we have are from the many tens of thousands that have fled Russia for places like Georgia, the handful of young Russian vloggers that try and give a more balanced view of Russian people and the increasing incidence of what look to be sabotage events. I don't believe Ukraine is behind the majority of these explosions and fires deep inside Russia. I think it's dissidents. We never get to hear about them though. The Russian government has a very effective media suppression organisation.

We look on some of its output as being crazy but a large proportion of older Russians believe every lie they are told. Maybe there will be another Russian revolution. Worries me if I'm honest. Much as Putin's downfall would be good for Ukraine it would plunge Russia back into the madness that followed the fall of the Soviet Union. That madness unleashed thousands of hardened criminals on the rest of the world. I fear another collapse would do the same but would be worse. All the very rich Russians that would be free from the control Putin exerts could cause mayhem around the globe.
