Just a note: the JB thread is where the purely political posts are better received.
I moved a few.
Carry on.

Moral appears high in the upper ranks but low in the tanks! “Mama wants a new Lada!”

BREAKING: The Red Cross confirms that Russia destroyed its Odesa warehouse in a missile strike. The 1,000 square meter site contained humanitarian aid and will lead to a disruption of projects.

No Red Cross personnel were present in the warehouse but Russia's offensive against food and humanitarian supplies in Ukraine continues.

One can only relish the fear, trepidation and now sheer paranoia with which this once great nation will be anticipating events of May 9 tomorrow, the traditional day for their vast bombastic display of military might (or rather, military probably can't) in the aftermath of recent events.
The sight of a real disruption would be a major triumph and highlight for humanity, if only with some drones loaded with yellow and blue paint, hurting no-one...What a gigantic coup that would be!

Sweat, Orcs. Sweat.

On a light, pro-Ukraine note, most of our bell-ringers turned up for the Coronation ring in red, white and blue.

However, one lady wore a yellow top and blue trousers. The suggestion was that she should ring upside down,

Ukrainian Red Cross, different from International Red Cross

And so what? It's still an attack on a non-military target and, even worse, on a target whose purpose was to save lives. Don't the 'rules of war' say not to attack ambulances, hospitals, and all sorts of other things with a red cross on them? The Russkies are disgusting and it will take a long time to erase the stain of their conduct.

I agree or put out false reports of drones spotted to cause mayhem and confusion, simply overfly some Russian observers in the general direction of Moscow then loop around and return to Ukraine.

NutLoose 9th May 2023 02:19

Nice to seee, though we shouldn’t be seeing it.

Because ukrainian red cross removed itself from the **** birds that are the international red cross after they facilitated the a 'filtration' and kidnapping of ukrainians. They are different organisations

The good news is the 11th round of sanctions is aimed at stopping such circumvention via 3rd party neighbouring countries.

The bad news is that every decision to add a product or country needs to be approved by all 27 EU capitals - and Hungary is sure to veto….

https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-a...on-russia-war/

Turns out German companies are avoiding sanctions by supplying various goods to russia via 3rd countries from the former USSR.

Trade with Armenia and Georgia has doubled. Trade with Kyrgistan increased by almost 1000%, and trade with Belarus increased by 77%….

I suspect many would be surprised to discover just how many countries are circumventing sanctions, including our own. one might as well try to block each individual hole in a cullender while the water is still draining through.

When sanctioned stuff from a manufacturer is dispatched to a client, the goods may be accepted into the clients operation, or it may be relabeled and packaged before being shipped to a different "facility", which may itself, have the freedom to ship to a sanctioned destination.

It has happened throughout history, and continues today. Everything has a price.
