On Japanese TV channels we are getting more and more footage of ‘Russian’ armoured vehicles entering Kiev.
Pinch of salt? |
Why oh Why - Loads of Aeroflot flights heading for European cities.
Europe is demonstrating it's "bunch of little countries" ideology. Lemonade party in a brewery - Putin must be laughing his socks off. IG |

NATO is not capable of effective military deterrence, but collectively, we can apply soft power deterrence through economic and diplomatic actions. I just hope our politicians, both in NATO, USA , UK and other international organisations such as the UN, can present a united front that resonates with the Russian public and shows their dictator has lied to them.

Far too much falling wreckage for an SU25, surely?

On Japanese TV channels we are getting more and more footage of ‘Russian’ armoured vehicles entering Kiev. Pinch of salt? Remember there’s a lot of disinformation about regarding troop and armour movements - both deliberate and accidental…. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....1b5d19b6c.jpeg |

FWIW Sky's coverage is worth watching. They have a reporter in Kharkiv whose doing live segments during lulls in the bombardment. Balls of kevlar. |
Re tracked vehicles in Kiev. Thanks ORAC, makes more sense and fits the footage that I saw.
Incidentally I have seen footage of Russian armour entering from the Crimea with a diagonal white line along the vehicle sides; in other regions vehicle columns seem to be marked with a large O, a large triangle, a horizontal red line, or a Z, for starters. I think Putin may be wanting to show his force as some kind of quasi 'UN' peace keeping mission. Rumour warning. One Japanese news site reported today that three bridges have been blown to the north and east of Kiev. Usual disclaimers apply. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-ukra...dvance-1682560 |
Hard to tell, but I guess we've seen footage from shootdowns in other conflicts (and airshow midairs), and heard accounts from pilots involved, suggesting that smaller tactical fighters can turn into significant fireballs when exploding. In addition, darkness and the camera used may also affect the visual impression of the fireball.

Think it’s fair to say Russian armour is now in the Kyiv….
|
I must admit I feel ashamed to be British today, I feel the US and UK have sold the Ukraine down the river having promised to come to their aid in return for them giving up their Nuclear weapons. :(

Tremendous bravery.

That tank video tells you all you need to know about Russian soldiers.
