RAF Gender Neutrality Language-Really??
I very much look forward to recruitment figures improving over the next year or so, if woke youngsters have been waiting for the RAF to become more fluffy before signing on the bottom line.
I also away the results of the next Continuous Attitude Survey, which should show an improvement in leadership scores, as the Board focuses on key improvements to retain personnel.
Unfortunately I suspect that no such improvements will materialise. Still, what do I know?! I’ve been out for 6 years.

Time was when you needed better qualifications to get in as an Apprentice than you did to join as a pilot.

I am assuming the term 'Flaps' will no longer be used (apologies if this has already be covered). A 'dinosaur' of a QFI told me back in the early 90's that 'If women were meant to fly, they would have been born with their flaps on their arms'. Truly shocking behaviour.
Should the cockpit be referred to as the Box Office, or is that also sexist - I guess it is.

pr00ne, I thank you for your enlightening and intriguing comment. Perhaps you would care to elaborate as I am at something of a loss. You clearly possess psychic powers in that you believe you know if I was told something over 30 years ago when you have no idea who I am (I was incidentally, your post is 100% incorrect). That said, of more interest to me is your statement that I am trying to 'suit my own agenda'. This has me waiting in childish anticipation as I was not aware that I have an agenda, so please do me the honour of telling me what my agenda is if you would be so kind? I am in the process of moving house and hanging my commissioning scrolls from, 1962 and 1998, in the traditional " small room"
I read In part, they both say, "to exercise and well discipline in their duties such Officers, Airmen and Airwomen as may be placed under your orders
from time to time"
Has this been changed? I am intrigued to learn of the linguistic gymnastics required to cover the multitudes of genders, pluralities, teapots, jedi knights etc.
Anybody know the current state of play?
