It will be interesting to see the NK military in action. It will give the West a chance to see if they are a threat to the West or to themselves. Let them come that way the NK military can be downsized in the same way the Russian military is.

They could be using this as an opportunity to learn Western tactics. Both sides learn from combat.

Army engineering units. Presumably they will be there to operate the machinery they previously sent over for building that Russian Maginot line down through the Donbass, Luhansk etc. Possibly free up some more 'volunteer' Russian troops to be moved to the front bloodbath lines?

I don’t think there was anything to stop them before, you do have for want of a better wording, foreign troops already in brigades inside Ukraine, all be it volunteers.. Russian,Georgian and western volunteers amongst them.
The problem with countries getting involved, is they do so not as part of NATO, so loose that mutual protection it ensures.

OK, I'm a little dim here but, if NK troops fight with Russia on occupied soil, does this not start a whole new ball game? Does it not allow Ukraine's allies to do likewise on Ukrainian territory?
Perhaps a slow slide towards active combat - but so far both sides seem to have held back from that step.

Ukraine's Piper cub sized OWA Drone/Propeller cruise missile has the legs to do this.
Ukraine showing this is possible has killed the MTCR.
Russia: Explosion at the Perm Gunpowder Plant.
