Things went from the sublime to the ridiculous in the RAF when the ground to air comms reverted to two tins & a string.

There was a lot on tension between the ground crew & the tech crew...

With one massive final effort, they finally managed to get the Captains wallet out of the aircraft.

When I was on 22 Squadron they used to dangle me on a rope ... nothing changes

I'm all for these new automated Pilots, but pulling the string out of his back to get him to speak to ATC is a bit too retro...
