"Well, Officer, we were practising landing on the middle lane of the motorway in an emergency, not 'hogging the middle lane'. So it was a necessity to be doing 150 mph and then perform what you mistakenly thought was an emergency stop. And this is a Tornado, not a white van, so it doesn't need a road fund licence, insurance, MoT, etc."
