A few at random:

"There was this bird in a biplane" ............(bashed in nose)

"More in hope than with any expectation" (aircraft steps) or "Who's pinched our aeroplane" ... or "No, we are not flying, we are pushing it to the Baths as a 5 metre board" ... or " when the Captain saw this lot of Everton supporters, he panicked, slammed the doors shut and firewalled the throttles"... or "There'll be another one along in a minute, just you see" .... or "Ryanair saves time on turnround by having their pax available 'just in time'...or "Are you sure that we went to the right Gate ?"

Enuff of zees nonsense ! Danny is a death's door but they've lost the key ...(only joking). My thanks to MPN11 and all of you for your kind words. Danny (still warm and breathing, but little else) If I suddenly disappear from PPRuNe, you know what has happened ("Goodbye, Goodbye, I wish you all a last "Goodbye").

Thanks for checking in, Danny, and regards to Devoted Daughter who is undoubtedly kicking your starter button occasionally. Get better soon, old chum.

You're to young to be writing your own epitaph, I was wondering where you had got too. you get yourself well, you have a lot of friends on here and those on here are proud to know you in a cyber world, Britain at War magazine has a letter from a surviving 95 year old Burma Chindit in it, now I know you are not going to let a Pongo beat you, so cheer up and as I said, you get yourself well, you have opened these eyes through your excellent posts and wit.

God Bless you Danny

Meanwhile, where's bloody Wensleydale? Doesn't he know he has work to do? I'll give him until lunchtime and then open it up to one of the three 'Mentions' in post 51362.

The Other Ranks learned quickly the Box Lids were far more tender than the contents and had more nutritional value.
