I am not so sure about the second runway. I knew someone would try and take off on the wrong one

It's just as well there are no Ppruners there on the runway.

They don't seem to know the difference between a landing and a take-off!

Before I announce the winners, I am sorry to tell you that Tashengurt has been re-coursed for potentially dangerous overconfidence:
"A little early on the roundout Hoskins. About a week early actually!"
( If you ask me, that's a winner! :-) )

Now, the results:

Second runner-up (for pedantry)
: Penny Washers
It's just as well there are no Ppruners there on the runway. They don't seem to know the difference between a landing and a take-off!
First Runner-up (for coolness) : Pontius Navigator
Ok Hoskins, place if firmly on the ground, apply full power, and we'll bounce over the top, then apply reverse thrust.
Winner (for lateral thinking and the best chuckle) : Danny 42C
"I think it's a mirage !"
Congratulations, Danny. The Coffman Starter trophy is on its way to you, and you have control.

That continues to rewrite the old script ... "Old age and skill will defeat ... "

Well done again, Danny!

Well played Danny!

JB, It wasn't overconfidence, see post 11151!

(Doing this on my phone so no smileys but tongue firmly in cheek!)

THIS IS NOT A CAPTION

Danny is grateful to whoever got the (twin) pics up, but as it t'wasn't me, cannot claim my place back, so Pontius N. still has control and can ditch the picture and replace it with his choice if he chooses.

Meanwhile will submit Captions to whichever pic holds the Fort.

Sorry for the Gefuffle, but cannot be helped.

Danny.
