I have seen several requests for EK interview prep information. I was wondering if this info is being forwarded or is there a file somewhere where it can be accessed. I am interviewing the end of January and also looking for the latest info. Thanks.

Sorry for disturbing your very unstable equilibrium... I know you really want to think that joining Emirates was the best move of your life.. We all know it was not... so why should you let other people do the same mistake? I'm not washing anything, I'm happily resigned and back to a reality where democracy and law rules,people enjoy freedom of speach, union protects their rights and workers, all workers, get paid a real salary and pension and can conduct a normal life . Perspective pilot remember.. you will be part of a criminal organization banking on the exploitement of slavery.All labourers in UAE are slaves. You wil be higher salary slave.
The UAE is part of the UN but has not signed neither the international labour rights agreement nor large part of human right bill. You will have no protection.. don't underestimate this fact.

Von mate, you have to get a life. If you have a family I feel sorry for them and if you do you need to move on for their sake. Sue EK. but its time you just shut up. No one cares what you say , no one

As for EGGW shutting down the other thread based on 'time of day posting', perhaps he should consider that Von has departed and now lives in a different time zone, hence the assumption of being under the influence, is pure conjecture.

Keeping in mind that we have no idea if Von is justified in suing EK or not, it would be a safe bet that he is justified, considering what this company does to it's employees on a regular basis.

Yeah fine, Von could do himself a favor and tone it down a tad, but if indeed he was royally screwed over, then most people under similar circumstances would also appear emotional about the issues.

It still amazes me how we pilots... EK pilots in particular... so quickly condemn our own, in spite of the massive evidence of 'employee abuse' by Emirates management. They are clever at muddling the issues, intimidation and offering excuses as justifications for their actions. Contract breach and deliberate misrepresention of the facts, is the strongpoint of our management team. What the heck is wrong with pointing this out to others if a person believes that fact?

I have no heartache if someone criticizes the tone of Von's posts, but the message he delivers might still be valid.

I thought the "prepare vaseline" line was pretty funny... and accurate ...:D:D

Thanks for the info on Emirates, but it still does not answer the original question. Does anyone have any recent info on the interview?

What are they looking these days for hours? Is 4000TT enough to get sortlisted or u need type etc etc.....Currently at 4000 Jet with 1000 pic on crj....

check the website....unless it is above 55000 kilos I think you can forget it....

Received a rejection email of my application after being "shortlisted". Guess I'll move down the road to EY. Good luck all y'all.

just read the thread, it's all there and straight forward.

website : A minimum of 2,000 hours flown in multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft. Preference will be given to pilots with > 2000 hours on medium to heavy sized jets.

I know couple RJ pilots joined you guys 1 year ago. Don't know if they raised the bar these days and need at least 320/737 time :). Just wondering before I do the application

Great that sounds positive, now to get the 4000 hrs

Also useful: to be willing to be abused, lied to, generally treated with no respect, underpaid, go without long periods of sleep, be put up in temporary cr*p accommodation to be followed by more cr*p accommodation, go without long periods of sleep, spend a very long time in the RHS and get scr**ed before any chance of a command, have no management support, go without sleep, have contract terms and conditions adjusted as and when they feel like it, have no rights, did I mention sleep or lack thereof? As for the .. it's definitely not financial just the fact you don't have to work for them any more and you can finally get some proper sleep.

As for permanent positions... you'd be better looking at Etihad to improve your seniority in the 'new, soon to be created national airline of the UAE.'

You didn't mention going without sleep...oh, sorry, so tired I missed it.

The F/Os in Emirates are STRUGGLING to pay their bills -
they can't save a bloody Dirham -especially with family!

There are MUCH BETTER paid contracts for experienced pilots out there :=
