Under career history, one has to enter the present and past airlines. Apart from airline name, employment dates and reason for leaving, no other information is available. Once you press enter, responsibilities can be seen but had no option to enter anything.

Is it my application or common to all?

Thanks

I used Elite assessment. The package is awesome!!! It cost me a few quid but was worth it. In fact I'd say it got me in :)

They said I will get a 330 course as there are no 777 couces for a while. I can't moan as it will always be better than where I am now.

bluesaddict 5th Apr 2012 14:26

I Think it's a great package and at a very reasonable price. I use it with parallels.
I also bought the Elite assessment because I had the interview already scheduled but then, as many others, I was put in standby but the E.A is also very good, I think they complement themselves. :ok: About paying....just share info. :ok:

Hi A380-Driver and Bluesaddict

why not use "Bootcamp" to install a little Windows partion. It's a preinstalled Service programm at your OS-X (Snow Leopard or Lion).

Thx Bluesaddict for the Tipp :)

Emirates = Compass Test?

One question: The so called "Advanced Compass Test" is the Test battery you've to expect during the assessment in Dubai?

Happy Easter,

Berny

ATTC Preparation for Emirates?

I've found this link: ATTC Europe

Any experiences with such ATTC trainings?

I think if it works it's worth to do this course but I would prefer a few reliable information before investing money and time. The Skytest-Software is known as useful mean of preparation for ATC-Testings in Swiss, a friend of mine used it for his Skyguide (Swiss ATC), but don't know their relation to the flying group.

Happy Easter :)

I have heard of rumors that all US Regional hiring for FO positions are on hold until further notice... Word is that they are trying to accommodate for all the direct entry Captains, and they are backlogged until June/July. So is anyone else hearing this?

I was looking at going to a job fair in Vegas this weekend to talk with the Emirates folks, but with the rumor of a FO interview freeze do you think its worth the time and money? Also does anyone have any experience talking with the EK recruiters that has helped speed up the process? i.e. quicker interview date...

Standbylist for the test.

Hi Nilley,

a colleague had been successful about 3 years ago via standby list:) he told them that he would be able to fill any gap of applicants for the interview within 24 h. That means readiness: Test at any time call!

Useful for EK (if short-term cancallations and postponements) and useful for him because he got the interview place (and the job!).

Have a nice week,

Berny

Thanks for the info bernyfly!!!

Berny. Did you get your call. Just wondering..

boarderdw 16th Apr 2012 15:59

Just curious if any of the successful March/April candidates have received a class date? And if so, what's the start date and plane assignment? Thanks

minwas 16th Apr 2012 19:40

I'm waiting since February...

Kernow 101 17th Apr 2012 07:37

Now 2 months since final interview in DXB..............and still waiting for a start date.

Waiting sucks!

White and Blue 17th Apr 2012 11:30

are you airbus or boeing rated?

groundtoflightdeck 17th Apr 2012 11:40

Have people been called for May/June interviews yet?

pi3lot_1982 18th Apr 2012 08:53

how long will it continue

With the present orders that they have, when will Emirates receive all the aircraft on order and how many pilots will they need to recruit between now and then? Will dec become a regular thing or not, is there a high turnover of staff or are people generally staying put for the 10 years? When the expansion stops will this relatively quick route to command suddenly stop?

Kernow 101 18th Apr 2012 09:40

are you airbus or boeing rated?
Boeing.

Apparently, some of the Airbus rated guys have been given some CCQ course dates for the 330. But the rest of us are waiting.

Anyone, know how it is going with the DEC interview process (time scale wise), i.e has anyone been out to DXB and received a response yet? Or even been for the selection? I get the impression that the FO course dates are on hold until they get an idea on the numbers of DEC making it through the selection before allocating how many of the course dates go to each pile.

McNulty 18th Apr 2012 13:10

I applied and have been shortlisted for the last 2 months. FO, still slightly short of the 2500 minimum. Anyone in a similar position?

groundtoflightdeck 18th Apr 2012 14:04

Yep. Same situation... Shortlisted in a couple days and now we wait.... I have a little over 6000hrs and a mix of Boeing and Airbus time.

Does anyone know if I applied for DEC short of the requirments would it mess up my current FO application? They appear to be the same application with different boxes checked and don't want to loose my current shortlist status...

JCO7 18th Apr 2012 14:31

Same here, except been shortlisted for over 6 months now. Meet all requirements (7000+ TT, 2600+ B737).
