You are of course, correct. I was only thinking of the passenger fleet.👍👍

Must be a coincidence or your friends' experience may already qualify them for the 350, along with conpany requirement at that time. Otherwise it's purely based on company requirements at the time of joining.

I have known people who had been qualified instructors on a particular type but were given another. Some 330 rated ones were given the 320 and so forth.

DOJ Issues

A word of advice for anyone planning to join. Make sure you have ample savings before resign from your current job because the DOJ promised to you will not necessarily be the one you join on. Some people have been waiting for as long as 2 months, with 1-1/2 month average beyond their DOJ, while others who appeared for assessments much later then them have joined. Meaning - there's no semblance of priority or some queue.

No need to start a thread war on 'that's how they will treat people etc etc', the point is to help others in planning accordingly, as some of us have kids and a lot more expenses.

Best wishes

Ladies and gents,
How long did you have to wait for email with link to online tests after submitting the application? Anyone applied in mid April and already got the email?

I hope everyone is doing well!

A quick question, any Boeing rated guys who applied in March onwards, received the tests?

When you guys post, could we always mention rated/type, for clarity and keeping the thread easier to navigate?

Wishing you all the best of luck with the process and hope to see you there soon 👍🏾

Has anyone been called out of the pool yet?

probably more accurate to say they were going to get the 350…. Which just so happens to be their requested fleet so worked out.

My flying school batch mate from India just joined a batch starting the 7th of May. But he gave his assessment in October 2022. Boeing Captain. Had to give 6 months notice to leave. (Apparently in India one has to give anything from a six month to one year notice to leave.)

Hey all,

Can anyone who has recently been through the recruitment process shed any light on the kind of documents we are required to issue from our respective aviation authorities ? Do we supply our entire aviation medical history from our current regulator ? Any info about the process really appreciated !

Just your standard medical cert no need for your history, they want a licence verification letter so once you pass the initial process contact your CAA for that

Best wishes for all.
Hi Arthur777 , have you received your DOJ already or still waiting? Wish all the best!!

A fair warning for those thinking of joining.

The company published on the manual they from now on they won´t issue the following:
  • Accident/Serious Incident Free Record certificate
  • Flying hours certificate
  • Flight crew assessor reference letter
For those of us in it's too late. But consider where you want to go next after QR, because there is always a next job.

May I ask, how many guys failed each sim group?

The sim seems to be the real decider as nearly everyone got through Day 1 when I went but anyone I kept in touch with were rejected after the sim apart from me, which was a surprise as I didn't think my sim was particularly impressive
My assessment group was 8 in day 2, do you know normally how many guys pass each group 🤔

Hello everyone ! Requesting anyone in the talent pool to kindly share any information / update on the approximate wait time in the pool . If not given a doj within 1 year of waiting in the talent pool would the applicant then need to do the assessment again ? Truly appreciate an informative response and thank you in advance ...
