I've been in the pool since end of Jan and haven't heard a thing since, Boeing Captain but applied for Boeing Rated FO.

If one did join and was put on the Max or the A321, What is the process for getting on the LH fleet from there, seniority or pure random?

Seat lock for 2 years, then seniority. But 737 will probably not last too long.

That being said, don’t give up a Command for an FO position in the ME.

Regarding accommodation, people who are recently joining are getting house allowance if desired or the only option for the new ones is the company accommodation?

Anyone around here that has recently joined the company could share the timeline of how long was the wait since receiving the successful email into talent pool to the joining date?

Many thanks!

I feel that if you are applying to work for a company you should know this already. The information is readily available and very often spoken about due to the 350 debacle.

Firstly I directed the question to another person, secondly if you don't have anything valuable to sum up with the topic don't be rude with other people. This issue with Airbus has been widely known, however, the actual size of the order vs letter of intention of buying can vary depending on the source where you read. I was hoping that an insider could share some light on this matter.

I think, at the moment, Qatar will take deliveries of 9 MAXes. All are MAX 8s. They have placed an order for 25 MAX 10. maybe those aircrafts will be delivered at some point when FAA approves it to fly.

Anyone in the talent pool should plan to be called next year at the earliest. Please plan accordingly.

As per what new joiners have heard. Hope I'm wrong.

Airbus will be quicker because they need to the get the 350 fleet airborne i guess. I actually did my interview the week they resolved the dispute with Airbus and its seems the hold pool's started very quickly after that. They seem quite picky, I go through and three of the guys on my assessment that I assumed would definitely get in where all rejected, some of them were TR also. The sim seems to be the real decider as nearly everyone got through Day 1 when I went but anyone I kept in touch with were rejected after the sim apart from me, which was a surprise as I didn't think my sim was particularly impressive

VISA

A question: I received my ticket for assessment in Doha but I can't seem to find any attached visa. Do I pick it up on arrival at airport as in UAE or I actually need to have it before departure from homebase? I sent them a confirmation of receipt of ticket, but still awaiting Visa but no reply as yet! Tomorrow is Friday and not a working day in Qatar I assume, I am leaving Monday morning.....only Sunday left to sort out that then. Any one who can shed some light here?

Hi, we recieved our visa together with the ticket. You can email the HR rep or call her on the phone number given in the mail. You have one working day available , maybe they will send you the visa on that day. I also got ticket very late . Best of luck.

I hate to tell you this ( and I could be wrong), but I’m pretty sure Qatar does not have 747s. And you are going to the ME, you rarely get options in anything. You are just told what you are doing,

Qatar Airways have 2 B747 cargo. But no direct entries on B747, only internal fleet change.
