Do they let you know which aircraft they will put you in before you go to class?

They go Eeeny meeny miney mo, your on the Bus or 777. You get allocated to whichever fleet they want habibi. You can express a preference, but you may not get it. If you are really unlucky you may get the 310 habib inshallah

From the end 2008 2 aircraft arriving a month.
Well, this is maybe the big gamble.
They send home the Alteon guys, allthough about 60 instructors short on the T7. They stop transitions from the Bus. How to cope for training then? My bet is on takin' in the orders at a reduced rate. This will compensate for the attrition and lower influx. They will certainly prefer this as opposed to upping the conditions to attract the effectively required number of pilots and instructors.
Just do the math on such a scenario and the new FOs will sit stuck for 5 years plus.

Just curious of your interview/reference/notify/contract signing/training start timeframe. I interviewed almost 2 weeks ago and am anxious to know something.

Thanks

EK interview

Hey Guns I interviewed a month ago. But I waited about 4 weeks before they told me. However they checked my Ref's about a week after I got back. I told them I can only come in the summer so I have a start date in middle of June. They were easy that way. They gave me a 777 coarse. Training bond I think is US $35,0000 for 3 years with them. If they check your ref's that is a good sign. Good luck!!!

Hey guys I have some inside sources who are helping me get am interview but after reading the thread there are still a few questions I have not seen.

When your passport reaches expiration who do you get it renewed?

I need a logbook endorsement from your current employer or will a letter from my C.P. on company letterhead stating I am working there and verifying the equipment suffice?

How are they with logbooks? After spending years flying at the airlines I got tired of filling in each segment or day so I went to a monthly total since records were kept.

Thanks!

Not to many maths questions, very basic algebra. just remember hipotenusa, is only one question about it. It is more about memory and basic flying skills.
Relax and try your best, it is not a hard test.

there is a wife and a husband currently working for EK, both pilots one is a 777 capt and the other 777 F/O.
That is not a problem.

Ek Good Or Bad

Hi, liked reading your positive views on EK, more so cause you are flying for the company. I have been called for an interview in April sometimes and am looking forward to it. With about 6000 hours of total time and 2000 as copilot on the A 310, where do you think would the slot me? How long before considering me for the left seat? Any thoughts?
Many thanks

PLEASE - Read the Middle East threads on Inflation and Pay.

There are many good points and a positive attitude is great but don't ignore the hard economic facts.

They send home the Alteon guys?

Why? If they are short, there must be compelling reasons to do so!

Hello forum.

Let's say, I am in Dubai......come there often.....who do I call for an interview OR assessment? Anybody got a number? PM please.

Do you HAVE to use the "normal" channels?

Pay? Housing? Education? Profit sharing?

Best regards, THX.
