Ek references

My references have all replied. How long does it take for a reply from EK? Can anyone confirm that Emirates only contact your references if they interested in employing you?

Majestic / Letters

Call or e-mail Majestic they wil give you a good rate, tell them you are interviewing with Emirates, they are totally familiar. As far as bringing recommendation letters, don't bother, they will contact your references if you get through.

I just arranged an extra day with them via email.

The rate you get is the one offered to the street.

I asked about airline rates and was given none.

It was just over 200 US a night, but that was for a

deluxe room and the standard room might be 15 a night less.

That is if one is available.

I'm happy I came across this forum.
Anyone else expect to take part in the selection process on April 22 -24?

Cheers.

Does anyone know of people who made it through all three days of the assessment and not get offered the job? Lots of wondering waiting for the notification.

I hope that everyone in the recent April interviews did great. I am still waiting too see the fate of my current airline and the state of the industry in North America as a whole before I engage the "submit button". Emirates seems to be the only other viable option as I do not think I would enjoy living in Asia. I have been to UAE and do not think it is as bad as some say (I'm not married). Good ride home...

Yes that is not an uncommom occurence. There were several people on my course that made it through all 3 days and still did not get the job. The general concensus seems to be that if they check your references fairly quickly after the interview you'll get the offer. It still may take them 4 weeks or so to get back to you though, so don't worry too much if you don't hear from them right away.

There does not seem to be a routine timeframe to notify people of their success or failure.

My references were already checked before I got off my return flight home, so 1 day!!! Had the offer in another 4 weeks.....

I'm sure it depends on the recruiters workload, holidays etc...

I don't know of anyone yet that has not received a yes after having their ref's checked.

I have another small question. Of those already interviewed, did they (recruitment) explain when you need to have the Dental exam and vacc. done? I don't see any reason to do any of this until I receive a job offer. I also don't want to delay those things if a job offer awaits those results. Thanks.

RP were you drunk when you wrote this post??? it doesn't make much sense, seems to me that you have something against the Gringos, it is not the gringos pilots fault that their economy is going down, they are just trying to better their career and feed their families, just like you probably did when you join EK. Hope your hang over is not too bad.....The Capt....
