Re: The sim ride, it's actually the TRI/TRE in the back that decides your fate. He may or may not wish to take into consideration the opinions of the recruitment chappie.
And for gods sake, on the EO, fly the aircraft first, leave any radio calls until after you aviate and then navigate.

emirates sim session
Hi everyone,
Does anybody have anything on pitch and power settings for the EK sim session,
I've got a pretty good idea of the format of the sim but no clue on the settings for Pitch and Power.
I just don't want to balls it up at the start looking for the right combination and then getting behind the aircraft. Its a one shot thing so anything to take the surprise out of it would be great.
From a previous post what I can gather is that its a visual circuit to land at roughly 2000 ft alt. Reposition V1 Cut in low viz. Clean up ,go and do all the briefing / CRM stuff while getting vectors, then back in for an engine out ILS then GA to clean up.
I hear they are using A310, B777 and B737 300. I don't know the weight they use though. Are there any drivers out there of these aircraft who would have the P&P settings for such a profile? Sop profiles, manuals etc?
I've been on the 'net looking but can only get very scratchy info.
Anything on this profile would be great. It would make all the difference for me in the sim.
Stay young,
Bannerone.

Has anyone gone through the pre selection program then completed the last 2 days in Dubai? I made it through the pre selection program in the US and I'm just looking for what the Dubai part of it entails? Can you study for the Assessment Workshops, the panel interview, or the last part of the advanced compass test? Any info from some who has done it would be appreciated!

I did, had a wonderful time! Bring your spouse, if this applies. First day we all did one test of 300 plus questions for the psychologist, and also the stick and rudder video game I call it. Nothing to study for. They wany to see how you will do in training. Day one is wrapped up with a tour of schools, houses and apartments, and the beach . Day two is a long day with group exercise, psychologist, and panel interview. If successful, you are told to hit up the medical with BMI check, bloodwork, eye check, hearing, etc. That is it really. Good luck. We had a wonderful experience and cant wait to start.

Thank you, the family is very excited. No technical questions for me, and I dont know about the other candidates. They were the TMAAT format. Just getting to know you. They make you very comfortable. I would just rehearse some stories you may have, but just be yourself!

Just like Rob said, there's nothing you can do to prepare for the 2 day interview. Stick and rudder test is fairly straight forward and they'll tell you that every pilot does well on it. Otherwise just be yourself and have some stories ready for the TMAAT questions. Most of them will be based on your weaknesses that they find through your psych profile. No technical questions but during the panel interview they do want a lot of details in your stories. As for the group assessment, just make sure to participate and have fun. Ensure that everyone gets to talk, and also make sure that someone is keeping track of the time. Rob, are you taking the nov. 6 class if it's offered to you?

IQ TEST
Hey guys! I need your help. Ive just come from my final interview, and I felt it was good, all recruiters were friendly and helped me to fill out the form, and collecting the necessary documents. The reason why im writing is they did not asked me to complete the IQ test, which makes me worry, that I wasnt good enough. Do you know anybody, who had golden call without filling the IQ test? Thank you for your time)

Hi guys! I have a very easy question for all that pilots who have already been interviewed...
I have been dated on Nov the 20th. But I haven't receive my tickets to Dubai yet... My confirmation email was received on August, so I'm starting to get nervous because of this!
When did EK sent you your tickets?? Less than 1 month in advance??
I wrote them, but nobody answered me, so I don't really know how to proceed right now...
Thanks for your advices!
PS: Somebody dated in November 20th too?
Good luck all of you guys!
