If you got the attitude and baggage they're looking for, they will take you. No matter which airline you come from.

2) Who looks after the Provident Fund?

3) Is the provident fund open to all types of investments such as bonds, currency exchange, stocks, futures, and mutual funds depending on your requested risk allocation?

Thanks in advance.
Wow... Maybe you should be a stockbroker and not a pilot

But, I'll try - off the top of my head to answer these.....

1) No limit to your contribution. No, EK does not up theirs if you do - nice try though

2) No idea - some big investment bunch in Isle-of-Man, I couldn't care less but personally I'm sitting at over 20% interest per year on average after more than 8 years. It seems to work - for now....

3) Lots of choices. I just do the "lucky strike" strategy... Like the lottery

If you base your decision to join EK on the provident fund, well, best of luck to you

White Knight,

Thanks.

Just 2 more questions,

1) Whats is the difference between the 3 different plans?
2) Are you allowed to take out what you contribute at any time but have to wait for 7 years to access what EK contributes?

Thanks again.

Interview Tech Quiz info / help needed

Hi guys!

I have an upcoming interview with EK. I would really appreciate if those who have recently attended an intervied pass me some info regarding the tech quiz/questionaire. Have been through all the old posts here but there is only very rare info/feedback from recent selections.

Thank you!

Staff Travel QR

Do you know if as an EK pilot, do you get any sort of staff travel, discounted fares... with Qatar Airways? I guess that has to exist an agreement between these 2 companies, provided similar countries and interests, for the employees of one company to take advantage of discounts in the other??

Thanks!!

Try this…
Make a search with google and find this web site latestpilotjobs.com , click on ITERVIEW PREP and then to EMIRATES PILOT INTERVIEW. There you can find a lot of helpful information about the selection process...
Good luck

"Ps. I am happy, I have done well here both financially and career-wise and I am grateful towards Ek in some respects. So.... my present attitude should demonstrate how bad things have got here."

Is it just me, or is that the most arse about tit, moronic statement ever posted on these hallowed forums??

Jeez mate you really need to get a life

Dubai

First up let me make it clear, I am one of the recent rejects from the EK selection process. But, after having been through part of the process and having had the tour, they saved me the trouble of knocking back a possible offer. The whole place felt unfriendly and had the all the appeal of a very shiny jail. The money might be good but you still have to live there. Each to his own I suppose but definitely not my cup of tea. Good luck to all that want it though but be careflul what you wish for.

Well said sittingidly. Anyone who would accept a job here with the current T&C's and management attitude should automatically fail the psych eval.

Sittingidly, you're yammering on this site in fragmented thoughts, slagging off just about everyone, making yourself look ridiculous. I would be curious to know your background - very lucky to be at EK I would imagine, but now complaining on how hard done by you are. Maybe you should go back to the asian cadet program you probably came from and be happy. Ciao.

Some of you lads that keep moaning really are a bunch of feckless idiots. To suggest that someone who accepted a job with Emirates should have failed a psychological evaluation (we all understand your inference) is such a boring unimaginative idiom that it demonstrates your own state of mind. Perhaps.

However, it is your opinion.

I have accpeted a job - I am not mad. See you soon....

Sitting, It's not for me to explain your weird ramblings my tiny minded little weirdo!

May I suggest you re-read YOUR OWN quote and explain how in the first half of the quote you are "happy", "done well financially AND career wise", and be "grateful towards EK" yet not half an inch later expect us to "understand" how bad things have got in EK.

Now for anyone with an IQ greater than 3, that would score about a 9.0 on their weird****ometer

Like I said before, get a life!

sittingidly I'm affraid is just another one of those idiots that we unfortunately are forced to share the planet with. The plonker will never be happy, and like all of his type, he feels that we have to listen to his point of view, because he is a legend in his own mind.......

Morons like this will never leave, as no one will have them.

The temperature is rising, which only means that these nobs get less happy.

Oh well....What to dooo!

MKrit,
Have you recently updated your application?
I was shortlisted, then everytime I updated I was "under review" again, until they made me shortlisted again...Then a few days later I was called!

Good luck!
