Returning to the original post,
I am going for interview next month. May be someone has the next books and doesn't need them any more:
Ace the Technical Pilot Interview,
Preparing for your Emirates Interview,
Emirates Pilot Interview Handbook ?
I have a friend of mine at Dubai and he would buy them for me. I have spent few hours tonight trying to log in for Pay Pal, but I failed. Flying here and there I can't order the rest of them.
Please, PM me, if you have some of them.
Regards

EK Interview
I found this book to be pretty good. It is available at Amazon.com. It is not a technical book but one related more to interview techniques. The EK interview is more about you as a person than your tech knowledge.

Good luck.

short flights long nights
007..as you fly the sim as you would your current aircraft, using your current SOPs, maybe paying for a 777 sim prep is a waste of good money..and you may get the 330 sim. or even the 310. I am however, as always, open to suggestions. Regards SOPS

Greetings! I'm seriously thinking about applying to EK and have alot of questions. What a/c is used for the sim evaluation and what is on the evaluation? Do they just want to see if you can keep the blue side up or are you gonna shoot some approaches?
Does anyone know whats on the Technical exam?
Thnx

Try a search of the net, or ebay.
It was a group of Canucks that published it so should be plenty around your side of the planet.
Personally though I think the $50 is a bit steep for something that is way out of date for the interveiw process that is in place now.
Just do some research of EK on line and read the "How to ace the technical quiz" book. There isn't that much emphasis put on the tech side, more on how you interact with the others in your group and the facilitators.
Know how to fly a sim on raw data and keep the blue bit on the top and the speed and headings accurate.... but then that seems to be optional lately.
Good Luck.

The truth will set you Free
If anyone wants to know the truth about EK then write me.
All I have to say is, it is all good! So come on over. Hand in those resumes and come for an interview. They generally try to filter out the dickheads, so just be nice and you're there.

I ordered my books from Amazon. Try these titles;
Ace the Technical Pilot Interview by Gary v. Bristow
Checklist for Success: A Pilot's Guide to the Successful Airline Interview (Professional Aviation series) (Professional Aviation series) by Cheryl A. Cage
Preparing for your Emirates interview by Captains X,Y and Z.
My favourite;
Airline Pilot Interviews: How You Can Succeed in Getting Hired /921T (Paperback)
by Irv Jasinski

Be aware that he's singing the same song using two different user names on both this and the 'day off' thread. Thanks for the heads up there, 4hp.
He's likely to be close to management and his posting might be some sort of semi official attempt to get somebody (anybody?) to apply to Emirates as the pilot recruitment pool is apparently empty.
His comment that pretending to be nice will get you into Emirates (although not true) sums up their desperation. And his comment that they filter out the dickheads is clearly deluded, at least in his own case.
Anyone care to share one of Crinklsteins PMs?

Can't a guy have something nice to say about EK for once without it being politicised and labled as being from management? Why is joining EK suddenly a big no-no? It's a simple tried process:
1. You want a job
2. You apply to a company
3. They ask you to come for an interview
4. You show up and do your best
5. If they like what they see they hire you
6. You come work for them
7. They pay you a salary
Here is where there is a fork in the road:
1. You can take that money home and mumble and groan about it and compare yourself to X or Y airline
2 Or you can take that money home and forget about it, and maybe have a little fun and live a little.
I happen to like it here. For those of you who are thinking about joining EK. There is no big conspiracy about tricking you into joining EK. It's just another company that is expanding that wants to hire pilots. It is as simple as that.
At the end of the day, you provide them a service of flying their planes and they pay you a wage...it's not rocket science.
