from what I remember it was US$ 72K in the "old" days.

Just out of curiosity which plane is parked would that be "E"?

Angry warning to all

And a warning to prospective Falcon pilots, DO NOTfake your hours/multi time/endorsements to get a job. 2 guys at Falcon recently got found out, and GCAA is taking one of them to court. One guy faked 2600 hours, and made his 1900 VFR rating into IFR,, another guy faked time being a instructor in the USA.....this is DISGUSTING.

Mulder,

This happened before but the big disgrace is that these guys are to stupid to run before they're getting caught. The level of application must be hitting rock bottom with FECA even advertising in/on Flight international (web)pages).

FECA Dubai

FECA - Falcon Express Cargo Airlines.

Well I applied with these folks about a year or so ago, had no luck but today Im a little under 1000 hours. I re-applied still no luck. I should mention that I am a Canadian currently in Canada to the reading Ppruners.

If any pilots ex or current can lend a hand I would certainly appreciate it. No BS Please folks

Cheers,

Hey Masalama,
How are you doing? Saw you guys use the at sim at CX. Sorry no more Gatorade deals I have moved on. Also I'm no longer prefer to stay at the Talil Hilton, the scenery at Fenwicks is so much prettier

For more information please call 1-900-FENWICKS sunday night ladies night

Ps. Did you guys noticed this thread has more views than the CX and KA thread in the fragrant harbour section FECA must have been a legacy airline without us knowing it

FNG the flakjacket is retired only thing you've to worry bout here is smog and that will get you one way or the other.

Dyermaker they've never had any female pilots and to be honest I think you have a very very smal possibility to get hired by FECA. If I would be you I'd try it anyway as it seems they're getting very desperate.

Post Female Pilots at FECA

You are wrong Coastrider! FECA got a female Cpt this year and I am pretty sure that Dyermaker will have very good chances to make it in -if she would accept FECAs crappy conditions-

Cost of living in Dubai

Need some info. Anyone currently in Dubai? How much is an average apartment in Dubai? Utilities? Cable? Internet? Car? Groceries? Hoping to get some solid info from you guys out there please. Thanks!

Cost of Living in DXB

There's only one thing you can say about the cost of living in DXB, " not frigg'n cheap!" As to how much it will cost you to live in dubai, as is the case the world over, that will depend on the standard of lifestyle you desire.

Do you want your own apt, or will you share? Do you want to live in the city, or on the outskirts? Do you want a big apt in a less desirable location, or a small apt in a more desirable location?

All I can say from personal experiance is that if your looking to save money in dubai on Falcon's pay, you can forget about it. Those days are long gone. In the last four years the cost of living in dubai has gone up approx 120% on average.

Here are some approx figures, but these are highly variable.
1 bedroom apt : 3,000 - 4,000 dhs
2 bedroom apt : 6,000 - 7,000 dhs (min)
Utilities (water, gas, elec etc) : 1,000 - 1,500 dhs a month
Groceries : 1,000 - 1,500 dhs a mth ( fruit, veg, milk, meat and bread are quite exp. )
Car payment : 1,000 a mth ( or mth lease of vehicle starts at approx 1,500 dhs )
Inccidentals : 1,000 a mth (insurance, petrol, mech etc.)
Night out with a few beers : 200 dhs ( min, beers are quite x-ey )

Add it all up, and as you can see, as an FO you'll only just scrape by. As a Captain, your not that much better off. So do the math before you commit to the move. Dubai is a fast paced town, and it's very easy to find yourself short at the end of the month.

Thanks MonsterC01 That cost breakdown really helps a lot. What is the cheapest way to buy a car there? Lease, monthly payments, or buy used?
