Mizone,

Its a shame that you have to spend all that cash to get to Dubai to meet with the DFO and the Chief Pilot. But given that you meet their minimum requirements I think this will help you no end.

Regarding actually getting the job, be aware that depending on the situation in the Company (guys leaving) it can and often does take quite some time to actually get in to the Company. A few years ago, it took a good friend of mine 6 months to get in and it took me 4 months, but it was worth it.

mizone,

I strongly recommend that you check out all matters regarding cost of living in Dubai first. Then equate the results to your monthly paycheck and contract conditions!
If they don't provide you with free accommodation and transport, then you'll need to bring a huge bag of money along to survive!

Cheers,

;-)

Good Luck MIZONE... There have been so many kiwi's including myself who have gone to Dubai and been told the same thing, only to continue waiting..
I have had two 1900 jobs since and hold nothing against Falcon, they seem like a good Company - do as much planning as you can before forking out all your cash to get there and sit around.

Re: Falcon Express

No changes with the hour requirements its still minimum 500 TT and 300 Multi and a Beech 1900 rating. There are now 5 F/O's close or ready for command so they are just waiting for Captains to leave. So as Captains leave F/O jobs will become available.

Re: Falcon Express

Just be patient Aussie I've left Falcon quite a while back but when I left they were short of captains and they upgraded people who shouldn't get a command..but that's a different story but in short it takes longer for positions to open up.

Re: Falcon Express

Wow! Coastrider you sound like a nice guy!
Maybe it is best if you're gone. You stink man!
Who do you think you are?
I can't remember you as "the pilot" reference (flying skills) (remember?)
You suck as a pilot and are a disgusting piece of work as a person.
XOXO.

Re: Falcon Express

Well don't know who you are but if you're the poofta I think you are u wouldn't feel the need to tell me who you are.

If we flew together and you have this opinion please tell me as I found after leaving there was a lot of gossip about me which I didn't know about otherwise I would've put up a fight.

Anyway Falcon is TG the past for me and obviously you still can't get out. I've never named names or blamed the pilots but training in FECA is not always what it should be...........

Coastrider26 (you know who I am now lets see who you are...pm's are always welcomed)As I replied dozens of guys who wanted to get in

Re: Falcon Express

I sent my CV by e-mail to Falcon about two weeks ago, I don't have a Type rating, but welling pay for it if I can get a job with them. Is there anyone to contact or who might help to get a job with them.

Thanks

Flying Aggie

Re: Falcon Express

Flying Aggie,

No easy way to get in. From experience I suggest you get yourself a B190 rating and if you meet the minimum requirements that the Flying Mechanic lists in his post, you may be shortlisted for a job. (Pretty expensive and very risky, but if you want to work for them, this is generally what you have to do). After that, its a waiting game, basically right place right time. It may happen that a Captian or 2 leave at the same time which leads to upgrades and then a recruitment drive for F/O's.

Good Luck!

Hey Bluebay, sounds like Coastrider touched a raw nerve, all I have to say to that is 'MEOW'!
And Coastie, chill out, let it go and enjoy Hong Kong. As you wrote in your post, Falcon is in the past, just keep telling yourself that and you'll be ok.

Re: Falcon Express

Bluebay.................

If your attitude towards fellow pilots remains as it is......

now listen very carefully now.......

wait for it.....

wait for it.....

YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE INSIDE OF AN AIRLINE COCKPIT

I bet your CRM training involved a club and blindfold.

For the record, Coastrider has given clean, factual information about Falcon Express and diserves a pat on the back. He's doing us all a great favour by highlighting the pro's and con's of working for them. Thank you

Coastrider - we've got your back.

Re: Falcon Express

Getting back to the point of the thread, there will be plenty of jobs at Falcon this year. Last year saw 8 pilots leave and I reckon this year will be 10 plus.Theres a new company starting up with 1900's in Dubai, and yes they will be hauling freight. Several Captains have already been approached to see if they are interested in this new venture. So plenty of jobs coming up.

Re: Falcon Express

Actually if my info is right there are even 9 guys that left Falcon for a better job the last year and with a bit of luck 2 more the coming months....

Falcon definitely has periods with lots of people leaving in the same periods. But there are also periods nothing happens..

Any update on Falcon Express?

Without re-hashing old threads, I was just wondering if anyone had an current info on Falcon and pilot movement? I know they fly 1900C's and was curious as to how quickly guys are moving through there? I have also heard that its pretty tough to get hired on there - showing up in DXB being an obvious must?
Are they still doing runs into Iraq?
Cheers.

Yep knocking on the door/showing up is a must.
One guy leaving next month.
Send a CV and start to call if your keen.
Cheers FM
