Yeah you’re probably right mate - probably best to just ignore it and be nicely surprised if it’s sooner

I think we’ll find out, last time they gave notice of a delay, there’s still a couple of days left this week, should be fine!

I understand they want to get it right, but my concern now is there’s a whole bunch of onboarding that needs doing before you can start- medicals with CAA (which if you have a referral can take an age), security clearances (which can also take months for references to be collated), notice periods at work etc and trying to do this in 4weeks for those that chose a Sept start seems an awful lot of stress. People may also want to book holidays with families but are waiting to hear back. This is less of a concern for those who picked November but I wonder whether the timelines will shift and start dates pushed back to allow the process to take place? Cohorts in Nov, Dec, Jan?

Couldn't agree more, I think if they move the timeframe we hear back, they should look at potentially moving the proposed start dates.

Agreed, there's a lot more to it than it may seem. May take a few months to get everyone enrolled from the start of the outcome. Start dates will most likely get pushed back I reckon. Anyone else got any thoughts about what the delay is for?

I guess the delays could be for anything, but I think if they just told people if they were successful or not, without offering contracts at this point, it would make life a lot easier. Nearly 3 months after the assessment is getting on a bit, and would just help people sort other life plans if they haven’t made it through. I guess it doesn’t really matter, as they’re bound to have enough people whatever happens, as they’ve still got the holding pool of people that passed the ac but didn’t do a sim, so could always fill spaces people now can’t do with them

Either way, if you’re one of the people that gets through this will be a distant memory soon

Edit: maybe they’re still unsure of numbers, hence no offers for anyone even without a contract?

This seems most logical I reckon. Confirming numbers, more hopefully, will require 1) more money, which takes an age for businesses to do 2) more cohorts? An additional cohort will require more planning, more hotels, more training, more instructors etc 3) more paperwork!

I think had they confirmed numbers they would’ve let people know and then issued contracts later.

think what would help now is if they do like a zoom or something to tell us exactly what the delay is and why rather than just saying paperwork.

but oh well it’ll come when it comes

Hi All - I have created a WhatsApp chat for those of us who completed the SIM assessment and are awaiting the final outcome. There is currently 8 people in the chat (including myself). It's a great space to chat all things TUI and allows us to support each other through the process!

If you'd like to join please drop me a private message with your phone number and I can add you in. We will just quickly verify you are a legit candidate too - I am also happy to do this as well to make you feel more comfortable!
