Stage 2: 24/04
Invite to Stage 3: 14/05
I'd say it's safe to assume an invite to Stage 3 would be made after the extended deadline closes.

The same goes for me at OAA: attended stage 2 on the 30th of April, invite to stage 3 received two days ago via telephone because of the "faulty" e-mails. See you on the 21st!

Just out of curiosity looked at the easy jet MPL application form. It asks you for no information whatsoever!?!
Name, address, flying hrs and exam results? How are they supposed to short list candidates based on that? Clearly aimed at early 20 something's I suspect? Where is the section that someone in their mid-thirties can fill in their experience since leaving university?
Interesting...

According to the CEO they only want young pilots:
"I believe that it is absolutely vital to easyJet’s future that we have a pipeline of talented young pilots coming through which is why I am delighted we are now working in partnership with CTC Aviation and Middlesex University to offer a degree course for our pilots."

I've just been through the CTC assessment day and have heard that I'm on the shortlist! I thought I'd drop a dump of info that I know here in the hope someone finds in useful.
Essentially the day is split up into two halves, morning is "Stage 2" of assessment and comprises of aptitude, group excercises and maths. Standard stuff. You are informed of the results at lunchtime then progress to "Stage 3" which is an interview with either CTC assessor or an easyJet assessor, doesn't make any difference which. They then let you know by email/phone the next working day as to your results. If you pass stage 3 then they place you on a shortlist from which they will select the 36 candidates they want. From the looks of it there weren't many assessment days and one of the other candidates said that they were only interviewing candidates until the end of this week!
Start dates are July, August and September, with the July one starting on the 21st. Has anyone else heard back yet?

I would hope that CTC open up some more assessment dates given that the closing date for applications was only 2 days ago.
Is anyone else still waiting to hear back from CTC on phase 1?

Firstly, he says that "talented young pilots" are "vital" to easyjet's future, but from these words alone it doesn't follow that they do not want guys who are not so young too; and therefore it can't be concluded that they only want young pilots. Furthermore; young is a relatively subjective term. To some people, someone who is in their early thirties is considered young. And finally, I sense from his words that he's using the term "talented young pilots" as a figure of speech.

Very interesting to hear about the shortlist. I know that CTC have organised another assessment date for the 28th May and there's still the potential for more dates to be added yet I guess.
Out of interest, approximately how many people were there at the assessments at CTC?

I think its still dangerous to use "young" in this context. Imagine if the release had said "white pilots". Its illegal to discriminate based on Age, just as much as race.
You also assume the CEO was male. The CEO of easyjet is a lady!
Lucky they didn't ask us the Captain in a dress question at Waterside.

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't know that.
On a not unrelated point, I was reading an interesting book yesterday and part of it was talking about how northern-hemisphere centric we are. To amusingly emphasise the point some Aussies had created a map of the world where the South Pole was at the top.
Won't deviate off topic further.

Does anyone know if it exist some limit for hours of flying ?
For example, I am 25, I have a master engineer degree, 170 hours of flight of single engine piston, as flybe easyjet does not shortlisted me ...
Good luck

cygair: OAA has, as you can read in the easyJet MPL FAQ:
To qualify for consideration under the program, you must have no more than 85 hours of previous powered flight experience as a pilot or student pilot.
