Nope I haven't heard anything back yet.

Was anyone on here at the stage 3 assessment last Thursday (22nd)?

I think if you hear anything back before the middle of next week it will probably be bad news but don't really want to second guess the process.

I was on last Wednesday (21st). Didn't hear them back but i asked to the assessors and they said that the results will be released only when all the candidates complete the Stage 3; with that said, i think that we will not hear anything until at least half June (last Stage 2 planned is on the 13th of June). Of course if this story they said me is actually what they are planning to do.


I didn't know that there was a Stage 3 also the 22nd! Anyway good luck anyone going for Stage 2 or Stage 3 next days!

Hi all,

Does anyone have confirmation of the final stage 2 and stage 3 dates planned for this programme? Is the 13th June confirmed to be the final stage 2?

Information Request

Hi all,

I have got a positive answer from Oxford and have been invited to attend for the 2nd Stage of the selection process.

Since this is the first time ever, I do have some questions:

1. The kind of tests done at this academy, are there any close matching sample tests online which can be done prior to sitting for the real ones?
2. I'm assuming that it woud be best to dress up smartly for Stage 2. Should I go wearing a suit and tie?
3. And lastly, from the experience of successful 2nd Stage applicants; since I am a foreigner I would like to know whether or not it would be feasible to stay at the academy until results are out and decide who made it to Stage 3. Basically I don't want to wind up paying excessive flights from Malta to UK to go up for both stage 2 and stage 3.

Been invited to Phase 2 for both OAA and CTC. Booked with OAA to travel down from Scotland in 2 weeks time. CTC phase 2 only available date is showing as next week, anyone know if they are likely to offer more dates? Was hoping to attend both in the same week as 2 separate trips is proving to be very expensive.

Hi fellow prruners, and thankyou for all of your views on the easyjet MPL program.

I was hoping one of you who has been to the ctc assessment day can advise me on how they test our 'numerical ability'. Is this just purely with mental arithmetic questions or is it in the form of a numerical reasoning test?

In response to your question, just gonna add my two cents in here:-

CTC will set you a numerical reasoning test, approximately 15 questions with a time limit of 10 minutes, which is similar to OAA I believe. This is part of the PILAPT test, and it is randomised.

Best thing to do is practise the 'type' of questions that may ask, such as currency conversion and speed/distance/time equations.

Search for 'Pilot Aptitude Tests' on here, and you'll find a couple of websites that will be able to help you prepare.

Thankyou for your swift reply! So if they are currency conversions with many decimal points they wont be expecting you to undertake the test without the use of a calculator I am guessing?

They would expect you to calculate using rough estimates mentally, so I guess a calculator is out of the question.

To all past aptitude test takers, is a piece of paper permitted during the test to write down some working during maths/physics tests?

Also with regards to Hand/eye coordination, task management, multitasking ability and orientation what is the usual acceptable accuracy for such tests to achieve a pass?

These tests would be done at OAA.

@AnArChYm Yes a pen and paper is given to you. I wouldn't worry about accuracy scores, why would you want to know? On the day you'd just go and do your best and wait for the results getting back to you. If I Told you accuracy required is 5/10 or 910 it would make no difference to how you actually do. Just remember there's A LOT of competition, so just do your best!

Actually I am worried as I'm trying some hand/eye coordination from pilotaptitudetest.com and it seems quite hard to get high accuracy marks.

No, you will not be able to use a calculator whatsoever.

You will need to calculate the answer to the nearest decimal point as quickly as possible, with the test allowing some margin for error. I.e 4321 x16 -> 4320 x 15 -> (4320 x 10 = 43200) + (43200 / 2 = 21600) etc.

Keep trying, I have used that website (PAT | PilotAptitudeTest.com - Practise for Pilot Aptitude Tests!) for an airline assessment as a fATPL holder and found it very beneficial. If you're struggling that much, shoot them an email to ask how you could improve, they really helped me out!

PS: A majority of the aptitude tests compare your performance against a large pool of previous data collected on other candidates, therefore, as long as you are above average, I would assume that you will be 'okay'.

PPS: However the standards required would theoretically be much higher than the average of the other candidates if you were planning on entering such a selective scheme such as the EZY MPL.

I attended the final stage at Oxford, just waiting to find out now.

The more I looked into easyJet the more impressed I got, very sound financially, strategy is good and being executed well, realistic growth in the future and hence excellent time to command!

I had a quick look at the Market Cap (ie the valuation of the company), found that easyJet is in the same ballpark as the biggest airlines in Europe:
Airfrance KLM - 3.5 bn EUR
Lufthansa - 9 bn EUR
Ryanair- 10bn EUR
IAG - 10bn EUR
Easyjet - 7.6bn EUR


I also liked the easyJet people I met and really enjoyed their group exercises. The MPL with its focus on multi crew jet operations also seems the best way to train to be a pilot (in my opinion)

Everything went well on the day, I will be gutted if I don't get into this!

I did my second assessment on 7th May in OAA and I didn´t receive any answer with my results. I´m a little bit dissapointed with this because I know that some of you did the last stage. Does anyone know anything about this? anyone in my situation?

@mclodean: When I called last week for some information, the lady whom I have spoken with said that the last session for stage 2 is happening on the 13th, and the week after they will continue stage 3, maybe they are still going to compare your results with the new applicants sitting for their stage 2.

How did it go for you?

If I were you I would also try to give them a call too, to confirm

I am in the same situation. I took the second stage just one week before you, on 30th April, and still haven't heard back from them. As you, I can't stop thinking that's a bad sign, since other people have been already asked to attend to the final stage.
I have also called oaa and they just ask me to wait
