Quote: Anyway, I am hearing MK bought the B747-8 option from CV and will now be the launch customer.
Are you sure?
I heard they are taking the Space Shuttle as they are decommissioned.

Apparently, the 747-8 is going to hangar for it's MK paint job on Monday......
Not hearing good news on the Space Shuttle project though, NASA are having issues with the nose door installation.

MKEA
Kinshasa-Joburg from all accounts.
Does anybody really think MK is a player for the 800? I have some swampland in Florida I'd like to sell you!
MK would be lucky to get a 400F if anyone would extend them credit!

Lot of short haul
MK has been flying a lot of short haul (Ostend <=> Manston/Brussels/Maastricht/) last months (empty?), how can they keep on doing this with old fuel boozers/freighters?
What's the news on the FF5000's? Re: Freight Feeder Aircraft Corporation (a U.S. private corporation 25% owned by Utilicraft Aerospace Industries, Inc. (OTCBB:UITA)) announced today that the company has entered into a Letter of Intent with MK Airlines, the British-based all-cargo carrier, for the purchase of 10 (ten) FF5000 Freight Feeder Aircraft, with an option to purchase an additional 5 (Five) (July 2008!!!!

In liquidation?
A search in to different registrars shows that “MK Investments Ltd” (Isle of Man), the holding company of “MK Airlines Ltd” (UK), is in “Voluntary Liquidation” since Dec ‘09. A few thousand pounds being recovered for the creditors!
MK Investment used to be controlled by a mysterious construction called “MK Holdings Ltd” on the British Virgin Isl., an off shore tax heaven!
In 2006 Richard Granville (Dick) Russell Evans (Flamingo Flowers and not to be confused with the other “Dick” Sir Richard Evans ex-BAE) stepped in and had big plans for MK as a part of his agriculture supply chain to the UK. Shares were transferred from the Virgin Isl.’s to Jackson Av. Ltd who in turn took shares in MK Investments.
Today Jackson Aviation has the status “dissolved” and MK’s holding is in “Voluntary Liquidation”…
So who is controlling MK today? Is there any money left (for new investments)? Where is TAA in all this I hear you ask? Not a sign of them in the registrars files! We’ ll have to wait for the publication of "MK Airlines financial statements for year ending 2009" to find out, or will they be in voluntary liquidation soon also?

Who are the flower pixies, would that be Flamingo/Homegrown ? I know Flamingo got burnt the first time around when MK went into Administration. Can't believe they would be dumb enough to throw more money at it. There is more than enough capacity to satisfy their exports needs from Kenya if MK weren't around. It's a strange world..........
