My understanding is that BA have repeatedly stated that they will recognise UNITE as far as NF is concerned.. that is UNITE minus BASSA of course.

Will this dispute FINALLY be over? At least this time it is an independent ballot, being conducted by Electoral Reform Services.
Let's hope this dispute is finally over, although the scars will remain for a very long time...

So much cynicism upperdeckpsr, what do you really want?
What about the rest of us non cabin crew, who have not had a pay rise for at least two years, coupled with our change of working practises, increased workload dating back five years, and zero guarantees for the future. Curious!

There is a direct correlation between those who have a "CAN'T DO" attitude and their support of Industrial Action. All the CSD's who I worked with during the strike periods were excellent before all this trouble and all the ones with yellow pens, XXXX bag tags were useless long before all this strife.
Militancy is born of a sense of misplaced entitlement. Harsh but true.

Access to aircraft type – It is the company’s intention to deploy new aircraft based on commercial need across existing and new fleets. New aircraft will be introduced on a fair and transparent basis across all the company’s fleets. Existing crew terms, conditions and fleet agreements will apply when new aircraft are operated on existing fleets. As new aircraft are introduced across all of the company’s fleets, crew will be trained in order to receive the necessary licenses as required by regulation.

Further to your request during previous discussions and the subsequent new offer to reach agreement I want to be clear about the company’s position on travel concessions.
I am restoring the non contractual and discretionary ID90 travel discount facility with immediate effect, with a reset joining date of 21 October 2010 for those who took industrial action during March-June of this year.
I am pleased to confirm that I will recommend to the BA Main Board to reinstate remaining staff travel concessions under the following circumstances.
1. Acceptance and implementation of the agreement
Obviously the offer made today needs to be agreed and ratified by a ballot of all members and then implemented. All parts of the union, Unite, BASSA and Amicus, must recommend acceptance.
2. Behaviours
A key element of the agreement is the need for both parties to conduct industrial relations differently from today. Industrial relations in this business needs to be more positive, respectful, open and understanding to the needs of the company and its managers, as well as its employees.
In line with the spirit of the agreement, communications issued by Unite and its branches must be more balanced and measured than they have been. The company will continue to ensure that its communications are balanced and objective.
Union representatives need to work positively and in good faith with the company to resolve conduct, performance, attendance and grievance matters in a reasonable timescale and without undue delay.
3. Litigation
Unite will not directly or indirectly commence, continue to pursue, fund or otherwise support any litigation against the company arising in relation to it’s calls for strike action or the strike action which it’s members took in December 2009, and/or March, May and June 2010. Details of the specific claims are included in the letter dated 15th October between British Airways Legal Dept and OH Parsons acting on behalf of Unite.
On this basis, I will recommend to the BA Main Board to authorise the granting of the remaining non-contractual staff travel concessions to those crew who no longer enjoy the concessions as detailed below:-
• Restoration at the beginning of the Staff Travel year 01 April 2013, for all non-contractual and discretionary service and status related travel facilities including free ticket eligibility and recognition of service in the operation of all tickets including the ID90 facility.
Finally, and as you know, I must be clear that whilst I intend to proceed on the basis set out in this letter, it is not a binding contract and nothing in it does, or is intended to, alter the non-contractual nature of staff travel concessions.

Just read the BA Revised Proposal (Oct 16th).
Can I just say that this proposal has had no input from the top table at Bassa as this was rejected by them, in its entirity, and strike action was taken thereafter.
So what was the strike all about if the same Bassa Leadership Team are now recommending that we accept it?
All Bassa have done is interfere in the negotiations and cause trouble and strife, of never-before-seen levels, for the community.
I have just checked the payments that replace ETP and LRP payments and I am actually no worse off than before.
ST has been reinstated and ACAS will overlook the disciplinaries that were IA related.
I'm just glad it's nearly all over, but I feel very sad for those that have suffered from the bullying and harrassment from Bassa during the last year and to all the customers whose forgiveness we must all now beg for.

Individual vs Collective
Comparing the Individual Offer made on 25 June to that dated 15 Oct, I can see the following differences:
1) Route transfers - it is now specified that these will be discussed with Unite
2) Top-up payment - the IO stated that the payment will only be made to those crew who do not participate in IA. The new offer states that the payment will not be made to any crew taking part in IA, in the year that the IA takes place. The new offer also clarifies that the top-up year is 01/11 - 31/10
3) The following paragraphs in the new offer were not in the IO:
a) Opportunies for LGW Crew (altho my IO was specific to LHR)
b) Disruption Agreement
c) Working Together
d) Future IR framework
e) Policy
4) Summary - the 2nd & 3rd paragraphs of this section were not in the IO
5) Appendix 1 - In the IO, Telephone & Language Allowances are listed as not forming part of the top-up scheme. They are not mentioned in the new offer.

I cannot begin to comprehend what an acceptable deal looks like in your little bubble.
Did you not see the budget on the telly today ? You really need to compare our plight alongside that of our neighbours, brothers and sisters.
You most certainly won't be seeing me at Bedfont.

If you outvote the moderates, what will you do next, as UNITE will not be backing you?

If my pilot's leaders union had given us guidance, we would probably have followed them too.
Unfortunately BASSA's leaders are not so cerebral in their approach.
The mere fact that they are trying to emphasise that the membership will decide what happens next, as opposed to the direction THEY HAVE DECIDED these last 18 months, says to me that they are hoping people voting like Lib Dem will allow them to lay the blame elsewhere.
You need to ask yourself 2 questions

If you outvote the moderates, what will you do next, as UNITE will not be backing you?

That you've been offered staff travel back at all is tantamount to a kick in the face to many who chose to back the company during the strikes. Be happy with it.
British Airways wants to move LHR onto a very similar renumeration package to that enjoyed by those at Gatwick. Since my last posting on Pprune I have, of course, taken a voluntary transfer to Gatwick.
Having looked at my projected allowances for my first month here, I have to say that i am no worse off at Gatwick than I was at Heathrow. I am going to be earning much the same (admittedly only because my crew card spend will be much lower here) but I have built an extremely comfortable life for myself at home based on Heathrow earnings and I don't feel it's in jeopardy now I'm on Gatwick earnings.
