Yes Etihad pay for your joining ticket. Can't tell you bout medicals because when I joined it was all done in Abu Dhabi by the Ey medical clinic. Now you have to do it before you join so they can save a buck!

I'm just curious...the final interview does not mean you have got the job. Reading posts on these forums indicate there is usually a wait of 2-3 or even four weeks before you get the call that you are selected and then to proceed with health and security checks?

At the assessment days what questions do they ask you? I know I totally stumped on the question "What is your best customer experience" when interviewed by AC...until that point everything was going well
Any help with the type of questions would be appreciated.

You have different question:

Why Ethiad? where do you see yourself in 5years? have you ever been in a delicate situation in your work, and your reaction, ect....
But The most important, it's your attitude with them and the rest of the group during the tests.
good luck

Talking Do family members of C crew have any benifits?

Hi,
Im about to sign the contract and Ive got a few questions. If any current cabin crew can answer it reallywoudl be a godsend!

1) Do family of cabin crew get concesion travel? if so how often and which family members qualify?

2)What is the actual applicable layover allowance policy? I.e how much one earns for flying to specific locations? ie. how much flying to paris? how much to SG?
I want to figure out whats the income range i would be taking home.

3) how many duty days does cabin crew work in a month?

4) how long is the usual time line one must work before being promoted to cabin manger?

5) can u skipo working in pearl zones and go direct to be C.M or is there a protocol in which one must go though in stages. from coral to pearl etc?

6) can friend or family members live in your residence if they come visit?

7) how did u all maange to pack your life in 60kg baggage allowance? could u exceed it a little?

8) do i have to pay for medicals if im told to do my medicals there when i arrive?

thankyou and godspeed!

Robynbevis....from somewhere who is dying to get where you are at..Pls do not let this be your decision...I know it's hard, and hey even at your desk job you have people who are not nice to you....that does not mean you pack up and go..think of the reason why you got there...and let that reason keep you back...Hopefully I could have helped you a bit...of course your final decision is your own...Hang in there.

ashley11 yes actually I am...hey it will be good to see somebody from here over there...I just might need a shoulder to cry on or maybe not . ..LOL! Hey going there with a good attitude and take whatever comes.

I recall you mentioning being home (not sure where that is) by that evening itself....I think these events draw late into the evening so I hope you have taken a late flight...don't forget you need to get to Pearson...unless you taking a flight from the downtown airport...All the best to you

Oh excellent! You're right, it'll be nice to "know" someone going! Support team! Go in with a big smile, head up, and be confident! Be yourself.

I booked myself on one of the first flights out of Pearson on Saturday, so I'm good for the whole evening. If I didnt have such an early wake up call for Saturday, I'd suggest martini's, however, I dont think I will be able to sleep much!

follw up question

thanks for the response and it's me again ..

there are 3 assessment days in my country, does it mean that at the end of day for each assessment there is a final interview?
i'm asking this because I won't be available the days after the assessment, i don't wanna find out that day that if ever i make it through the initial assessment (i'm thinking positively) i will be interviewed days after like EK and QR.. in which i won't be able to attend..

thanks in advance guys
