well harry,

I don t know, since I am leaving for AUH next week or the week after...
the list I gave you, are the forms that the recruiters gave us after final interview.
I don t know if the medicals in Abu Dhabi will be the same as what s on these forms.

Hey, I think it's coz they know we got a good healthcare here from birth. And dental. So they can be fairly sure that we're in good health... And yes, I'll have to do medical once there. Of course =).
It might also have something do with the fact that I'm going down within 3 weeks, so there won't be time to do it here. I think the ones who do have time to do it here will do it.

medicals

Hi Goldenboy,

From my experience, I am currently working here in Dubai (for Jumeirah)... I had my medicals in my country and then when I arrived here, they took again my blood sample and x-ray. I think this is for formalities sake and to be sure that no one has any TB or HIV or those sort of deseases...

So, dnt worry about it!

Are u in the same situation?

Hi everyone, I went to the Sydney Assessment on the 3rd Nov, I have read all the forums on this page and its been truly helpful. I am just so worried about this "waiting game"..

I got the "Happy to inform you" email on the 12th Nov, about a week after the assessment, but until now i stil havent heard from them about the medicals or anything further.

I know i should prob just be really patient. But has anyone else that was there at the end (20 people) heard anything further?

thanks!! xoxo

OK Chaps and Chapesses ! Listen up.
Be prepared for a shock. The good news is that it's not hot here at the moment.
Accom wise, well you could be anywhere. Some are nice, some not so. Dont expect a pool either.... You will be sharing as well...
Bring lotsa copies of your passport and ID photos. Have ALL required docs certified in your home country if required - marriage - birth cert etc...
Dont expect to go to Dubai.
DO NOT bring panadine! Or any codine based substance. Although you can get Viagra and valium over the counter .... go figure.
Its different and expect lots of changes to your initial lives. Rosters etc....
If you have an open mind and can adapt quickly and have an exit strategy planned out you'll be fine.
Have fun..... AND STAY OFF DA ROADS!
OH medical wise, expect another one in AUH.
Oh and stay away from the sleexy dude from HSBC. Try Leyla at HSBC Airport Rd, MUCH better!!! And better service than N BAD.

Hi, guys.
I'm sorry for being so ignorant, but wanna ask you - how much Etihad pays their Cabin Managers, as they call them?
I see they have vacancies for 75 of those, I have the relevent experience and was thinking of applying, but cant find out about the money side - all the website says is will be discussed later.
I'll be very grateful if someone points me in the right direction!
Thanks!

Hey..When we get to AUH, what kind of medical tests are there? A normal blood test and urine test? And...we bring all the results of the medicals from our home country right?

Medicals / Mgt. Approval

Hi Gloriag81..

just want to ask if you alreadt proceed with your medical or did you wait for their call? I just received the same e-mail adving that they will "proceed with the necessary clearances and approvals". However, i don't know if I will do my med or i have to wait until the mgt. approve my application.

Thanks!

Security Clearance...

Dear All,

Is there somebody here in the same situation like me...

I am currently on a residence visa in uae sponsored by my present employer... My employer doesnt give "no obejection letter" and it is required if you want to transfer to another company, or else you will ger a 6 mos. labour ban in UAE. What if I get hired by Etihad? Will there still be any labour ban for me or Etihad can do something to lift the ban?

Is there anybody who experienced this thing?

Thanks!

Ban....

Hi RYZ,

Don't fret... I am working here in the UAE as well... Etihad will just ask you to give them a visa cancellation form or letter from your company and that's it ok?

I have sent you a PM as well... I am so happy that most of us Flips are in!

I am now just waiting for my final day and my visa cancellation after that when we are already in AUH, they will ask us to have an exit in Bahrain for formalities sake...

And for your medicals just wait for a while, you need to process your police clearance first... just read my PM ok?

Thanks,
Doods

If you have already done a full medical for Etihad then another shouldnt be needed.

The "medical" in Abu Dhabi is a visa one, bloods etc. Chest x-ray. Eveyone has to do it. There is no inter departmental communication anywhere here.

But this is the UAE and anything can happen.
