Lol Cannard, I'm not sure if the 'Safest City" girl got in or not....

was funny, I was wondering whether to stand up because I felt rude having my back to everyone/acoustics of large room etc etc, but after that I just decided to greet Danni & Amelita before asking my question and trying to ask loud (remember I asked about Ramamdan and lady pilots? :P )

I could hear a few people behind me giggling when she asked that Safe City question, it was just soooo long and rehearsed sounding (good question though, just a pity she didn't ask it differently)

danni and amelita where just looking at all the photos pretty much and laughing at a few
Most likely mine!!! It was pretty horrendous I can tell you (see previous posts for the story on the photos lol)

Making CV stand out is good, just as I said before, keep it elegant (which it sounds like Cannard did - e.g., subtle coloured paper etc - no pinks etc!!! , I think what will impress is when handing in CV etc, smile, look the recruiter in the eye and say hello, and don't be afraid to ask question if you have one.

thanks

hi there again...Thanks for the info!

Hmm...I hope to get into EK then...hope eveyrthing will be fine...Have you guys got through all the stages? HOw long is the whole process from first day to the first touch in Dubai?

What about accomodation? Is it good? How much can you get for salary (minimum and maximum) ?

So, usually, there wil be 2 interviewees? I have applied online long time ago but they did not reply back. Maybe i should just go for the open day...?

I vaguely remember danni talkin about ramadan and the pilots, though i was about as far back as you could get, so i couldnt hear most of the question. and some really bitchy girl was on my table making fun of everyone. (hope she isnt on this forum , cause she acted very out of character if it was!)

the 'safest city' girl came up to me that morning, and asked if i worked for the hotel, then enquired about directions to the bathroom. i had know idea so directed her to a sign and though crap! what if she was with emirates and i just failed a test! (so paranoid!)

My CV wasnt on coloured paper, just high quality crisp white stuff, the headings where in blue. seemed to of worked.

aloy, your in luck a little bit. this is straight from the emirates doco (can someone let me know if i shouldnt post this?)

PHEW!!! this was on a pamphlet that was placed on the tables of the back of the room (along with jugs of water and bowls of mints!!!! oh yeah baby!) so i dont think its secret info. theres other interesting stuff, but thats a lot more typing.

hope it helps.

her and her friend (who i think had been to dubai, as she talked through the whole video) just made snide little comments to each other throughout the entire ordeal, i was about to say something to her, but decided someone important might be watching.

Your questions couldnt of been dumb, they selected you to go through to the next round.

hmmm will you go to the sydney open day and apply again?
as long as danni and amelita arent there it cant be too bad right?

group interviews?

umm try to be a happy medium, dont be too quiet, and dont talk over everybody else. if you different opinion, by all means express it, but dont poke fun at other peoples opinions if you think they are wrong, and try to give credit to other people if they have good ideas or whatever.

basically just be friendly, thoughtful and understanding

for the 2 on 1 interview, just research behavioural interview questions on the net. no matter how many times i get asked these questions i can never think of anything good to say (which is why i stuffed my interview up)

the rest of the pamphlet just had other details about the job, ive already posted the most important ones i think

good luck!

hmm on 2nd thoughts i prolly shouldnt give out all this advice freely as with so many more people who will be well prepared, my application will look worse and worse!

EK Psychometric results

Hey guys,

has anyone else contacted EK shrink division to enquire about their profile from the test they make you do? it comes on a letter in the final interview pack, and states that after 3 weeks passing of the final interview, you are able to write to them and ask for feedback from the psych test. anyone done it?

my 3 weeks are up next week, but im not sure if it will be a good idea, just incase they wonder why and mark my application or something

anyone else done it???!??

cheers
