Hey everybody,
Hope you're all good. I have a question and I do really need the right answer for it... when you go to an OD and you don't get shortlisted for an AD, is it true that you can't apply again only within 6 months?
(and I'm talking about OD not AD)?!!!! Because I went to one OD last month and the accessor told us that! but most of you here say that this rule goes only for AD 
Does anybody know about the same question for Qatar airways?

This is a general status everybody receives. You should check your application status from time to time.
Remember you can go to an OD (open door) with the Ek Recruitment Team without any invite from them (if an OD is close to your location).
If you want to attend an AD (assessment day) you got two options
a. Pass the OD (they call you up for an AD.
b. You receive an invitation from EK after your application online is reviewed.

thank you very much for your response. My 3 month application runs out at the end of this month, can i still go to an open day after this if i don't hear anything? It's just hard right now to go to an open day because i'm just finishing all my final hand ins for my degree.

@LizzieInspite of the online application you have submitted still you can attend an open day. Even if you dont submit the online application still you can attend an open day and once successful in initial screening test the will let you know to fill up the online application. However it is advised to make the note of the reference number that you find on the application while submitting. You can provide the reference number to the recruiter when asked to.

Finally i submitted my application today. The weird part is it didnt ask me anything including my resume,job summary,educational details. Application progress showed 100%complete and the application went through successfully .. :oDidnt even prompt any message like incomplete.dont know if thats how it works. Got the reference number too. . Lets see what happens

Does anyone know if Emirates hire fair skin males? A few of my friends (female) have been lucky enough to move to dubai and all the males in their group are tanned with dark hair. I don't want to waste my time if I'm not what they are looking for. Any insight would be appreciated

They will be about past experiences at work. How you managed certain situations with customers, colleagues, managers, etc... Google behavioural interviews to have more details about the kind of questions you may face.

Golden Call
Hello Everyone,
I have a question for all of you maybe you'll be able to help me.
I went for the OD and made it to the final interview. My status changed from under review to AIP within a week. A week in a half later my account was frozen and stated, Will be contacted by a recruitment coordinator at the earliest. Now its going on to the 3rd week since my account got frozen and frrom what Ive read on here, once your account is frozen that means you'll be getting the GC soon usually that same day. Can anyoone tell me if that is a good or bad thing that its been 3 weeks since my account froze and i havent received my GC nor a rejection email? Is it normal for it to take 3 weeks?
please help me! I Just want to know im heading the right way.

Still waiting for emirates to come to Kenya and this whole year they have not. i thought they were doing a massive extension. This is really quite frustrating
hope they start recruiting as soon as possible before i hit the age limit.

If you didn't receive an e-mail from them is a good thing...actually is a great thing. They only mail people who are rejected.
About the time period - yes sometimes it takes a little bit longer.
Keep in mind : no mail - you're on the right track

Hy all!
I m one of the biggest fun of this company and I've been trying for several years to pass this interview.Like everyone I want to earn good money by travelling all over the world.I worked for a romanian company for 2 years and almost all my friends from aviation are in Dubai.I failed to 3 interviews and I will keep trying.I read the threads and I know the theory about the acting to this interviews also the advises from my friends but every time something goes wrong.I've never reached the final interview only the last group discussions where in my opinion you have to highlight yourself a little bit to succeed.Anyway the point is that in Romania is very hard because of he big number of well prepaired candidates and the luck plays a big role.The six months waiting will finish in June and I thing seriously to try in Greece or Moldova or other place in Europe.Maybe you can give me some tips.Hope I didn't bore you with my disappointing story and hope that one day we will meet in Dubai.Tones of luck to all!!!
