The fact of the matter is, EK can't register EVERY SINGLE PERSON that attends an OD - it's simply too much information to hold. There have been people on this forum that got the job without waiting 6 months so that's proof you can get through without waiting.

HOWEVER, this doesn't mean I encourage it. They can still catch you...your recruiter may remember you, or they might find out when they process your application in Dubai. And what are the consequences? You obviously won't pass, and you could even be blacklisted for life. So is it worth the risk? Personally I don't think so. I think we should respect the rule, but like anything in life, gamble at your own risk.

I couldn't agree more! Yes there could have been people who got in without waiting, but if they catch you... at the very least you'll get an unsuccessful big as a house!
Personally I would not take that chance, I'd feel ridiculous.. but hey that's just me.

Male candidates.

Hey Everyone,

Been a bit since I posted last. I would love to know how many other male candidates are currently still AIP. I had my FI on 12 March 2012 and have been AIP for maybe 2 weeks or so. 5 weeks total since the FI. Two of the female candidates from my group already received their GC's but I've seen from some of the posts that male candidates are supposedly being subjected to longer wait times. Any comments or thoughts from recent hires or other AIP male candidates? Oh right, and I had my FI in New York, USA.

Thanks,

Andrew

Ellenjesh and tabbys

First of all Ellenjesh sorry for the misinformation about the best time applying for EK being when they post their AD or OD on their official site. I have been reading previous posts from Kenyans who applied two months prior and still got their invite and others a few weeks to the AD or OD and getting their invites three days to the AD or OD so you should not work yourself out if you have presented yourself well with the photos.
Tabbys I was reading some of your previous posts and I saw something like you saying that you had applied sometime in 2009, you re- applied again and you were not shortlisted. What was the progress after that? did you get an invite later? because I also the have the same situation as yours. I applied in September and according to what I understand if they don't get back to you in 6 months the application is considered null and void; and after an year all the information that you submitted to them is deleted on their database and so far EK has not come to our country. My question is I want to apply again but this time I want to have my skills match with Cabin Crew because in my last application I had put my Computer skills( so stupid of me). Do you think they might see this as a fake and not accept my application? What are your thoughts?

Problems with online application - education

Hi! Hope someone will be able to answer my question. I want to apply online for an OD in Milan, but I'm having some problems with the education field. When I go to the Education&Training section, I have to select how many years of secondary education I had. Now, I understand that with secondary education they mean till high school, right?
And then, here comes question number 2. I've already applied for an OD back in September, but I wasn't chosen. In the meantime I got my Master's Degree. I'd like to add it in the Education section, but I can't and moreover when I click on preview application, it's written I only have a Bachelor's degree.
Don't know if I explained it clear enough, but does someone know how can I fix it, please?
Thanks!

I_love_Emirates

Yes,I applied in 2009 but some of the info weren't accurate. I applied again last year for the June AD never got an invite my status still reads applied which is never as bad as not shortlisted(Rejected).Yes, you have to reapply after 6 months. Its over ten months since I last applied so am trying again next time, hopefully June.As for your application, you can always do the editing. So long as you have the evidence where applicable. The main thing here is how you present your cv and yourself during the interview. Emirates do employ even guys with simply a high school certificate,so long as they are pleased with you.

I heard that they give you the answer on the same day. If you were not successful you should apply again. My advice for everyone is to go on assesment days!
Good luck

I am so so sorry for you! I saw how motivated you were ... I feel you . I know how you feel I've attended 2 AD and I was unsuccessful after the first round at both of them . I am deeply sorry! Even if it is very very hard right now you have to try again....

Hey there
Actually no one knows 100% what EK is looking for in a perfect candidate.
You should read the whole forum/threads ,apply and hope for the best.
At an AD usually in the morning they play some videos about EK, than there is a reaching test (they measure your height) and after that you go to a series of tests. If you pass the test you get a "successful note" if you don't , you go home.
If you read the forum you will find out approximately the content and difficulty of the tests.

Enjoy your reading

From my knowledge they only dismiss you if that surgery left a visible mark on a part of your body that's not covered by you uniform (face, neck, hands, etc)
If you have it anywhere else it's not going to be a problem
