Also as it has passed all my medical and dental etc... it is at the travel arrangement stage on my portal, unfortunatly i am yet to upload the appendix 3 as this is showing as complete & i cannot print it off but would like to upload it in the other docs section so its there when i arrive in Dubai !! Would be much appreciated if anyone can pm me this (appendix3) and answer the above question!!

Congrats to all those accepted and good luck to all those waiting

I am assuming you haven't got the email from EK to resign yet? You have to upload a resignation letter for your joining process to be complete.
My portal is complete... I am just waiting for my tickets etc. now...
Sorry can't help you on appendix 3....if your medicals have been approved, what is the issue?

Inshallathe medical has just changed... so what was EK policy before, may not be now. I know on my medical form it said epi-pens were not allowed.

Also, everything on this forum is really just an opinion and/or hearsay, so you really have to ask EK for definite answers.

Much Appreciated for your response, i think it may be they have not updated that i am currently unemployed!! I have recieved the resignation email, i have sent a message via portal to query this but hopefully all will be sorted soon!!!

As for the Appendix 3 I did not upload it but they approved my medicals and just would have preferred to have it complete for piece of mind.

Thanks

Neither am I, so they will do the necessary bits to complete your pre-employment. Don't worry it takes a few days to all go through! The email is just standard to everybody.

saadnata: send them a message on your portal...they usually get back to those really quick (next day)...and tell them you are still waiting for everything and when can you expect those things to be on your portal...thats what I would do...you can also call them, if you prefer that...

Portal

Hey Everyone,
I received the GC on Saturday (3days ago) and my online portal hasn't opened. It still reads 'you'll be contacted'. Anyone know how long it usually takes to re-open? They still haven't received a copy of my passport, so could this be the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

M

Christinatheo: 1st Congrats on getting the GC They will email you from then you will be able to access the portal!! I had to wait 3 days after my GC sooo just bare with though it aint easy and soon you will be all ready to get moving to DBX, book doctors appointment and dentist as these are gonna be requirements once you are granted access to the portal for blood tests, Bmi etc....

Kandygirl: I waited 3 weeks before it changed and i leave for dubai in 3 weeks everyone has different timescales etc.. Dont worry!! there is no standard procedure.....

Pakiali81: Everyone has a theory on IQ tests i know many who took it many who did not it is a random issue after the FI !! I am in and i took it and the girl after me is in and she did not so hence it has no reflection on your chances........
Good luck fingers are crossed

Trouble uploading application

Is anyone else having trouble uploading an application form ? I have completed every section and every time I go to upload , it won't work . It says 88 % complete ... I do believe it remains on 88 % until it is fully uploaded , is this correct ? Is anyone else facing the same problem ? This has been like this for over a week now and I am getting quite worried as the OD is very soon in my city . Another thing is that when I go to edit the personal details I am unable to remove something that I added in error - each time I remove and save it , on the form it appears removed but when i preview my application it is still there , and when i log out and re renter it appears on my application still . I wrote to the help center about a week ago , but have heard nothing .....

Thanks guys for your response, i have had such a long and hard journey with emirates. last year June roughly around June i had my final interview in London it was my second time ever going to a emirates assessment day the one before i went early on during the year but i didn't make it pass the first cut, likewise i reapplied again and i had my final interview, i honestly thought i did really good in my interview i was well prepared and the recruiter who interviewed me was very easy going she made me feel very comfortable, however the waiting game started for me after a week or so my status changed to approval in progress and you can imagine how i felt because everyone that got this got the golden call however in my situation after five weeks of approval in progress i received the email i was dreading which was i was unsuccessful. i was so hurt that i build my hopes up and i actually thought i got the job but than i had a blow to reality. A few weeks later i packed my bags and decided to go to Dubai on holiday to go clear my head but than my luck changed i got a job as a school teacher up there and i been living there for a year and a bit, a few months later i met up with a few of the girls and guys that were in my assessment day but got the job, we all kept in contact and we all still do till today and now they have been flying with emirates for a year and they absolutely all love it. After so long of been in Dubai it was still my dream to join emirates as a crew so i re applied and i got a interview back home in London so i flew back to London for my assessment day, never in a million years would i think i would make it to finals again but i did and now the waiting game begins again so i just want to let all you know no matter what the outcome of our application is never give up your dream. now i just see this as going for a driving test because no matter how many times i go i know that one day i will get it.

brighton-disco: My DOJ is also 5/12! And there is another girl on here with the same date...so three people for now...where are everyone else?

pakiali81: the dentals is all about having healthy teeth and gums, no worries if you have crowns/bridges...your doctor will have to sign that your teeth are healty, you will have to get also rentgen photos (OPG an two bitewings).

kandy_girl: My thoughs are with you...I really hope you get your GC this time! Emirates could be sooo happy having you onboard! Your story is just amazing...I really wanted this job but if I was unsuccessful at the FI I probably would'n try anymore.

emmaa: I read on this forum for many times that you have to wait at least 6 months before you can join Emirates if you were working for Qatar before...so I guess it is true...it is some kind of aggrement between the two companies.

Hello everyone!!!

It seems I haven't written on this forum for quite a long time, but I have been trying to follow every single thread you guys have written!!

You are marvellous people, there is so many people here trying and trying to get into emirates, never loose your hopes and never give up!

If you really wish a thing, that will come sooner or later, so never give up, you're doing well!!

My DOJ was 31 October, but finally I am flying to Dubai on 1 November. Got my e-ticket and e-visa already, but don't know anything about accommodation yet!!

I am flying from Madrid, so if you guys know someone flying from Madrid on the same date, please let me know (we are already flying from Madrid on the same date 4 people)

Good luck to everyone awaiting the GC, and a very good luck for those who are attending an OD or AD!! (If you go a few pages back you can read all my experience)

If you need something, or there is something I can help you with, please pm me!!!

All the best!!!

FI

Final interview is like chatting with recruiters about your previous working experience with people...the will ask you about different situations and how you would handle them (example: what did you do when client was mean to you..etc.)...it is actually pretty relaxed so don't worry about it...they do go into details, so they don't ask many questions but few and they want detailed answers...you will be nervous when you walk in but they will calm you down in a minute...that's how it was with me...and you don't even know how the time flies in there...45 minutes sound a lot of time but it is actually not, beacuse on starting you will go thru documents and photos and that takes also some time.

Good luck and just be you!
