Hi All + Saffa's (south africans)
I just want to say thank you to all that post good information.
I'm in SA obviously, and we only have global assessment days here, so i believe it is really hard to get an invite for one, still not giving up.
I read online that Emirates need 4000 new CC for their expanding A380 fleet, so best of luck to everyone. I am a guy and believe it makes it even harder, but hey... no risk = no chance of reward.
If anyone in Jozi do get an invite to an upcoming AD will they please inform me how it was, and if you do make it far, what was the ratio in male vs female? or even someone who recently got accepted. also what experience did you have on your CV and also your age group... if you don't mind. Just want to give myself some pointers on what to work on.
Thanks Guys...

Hello guys. Is there anyone here who had their final interview in dubai in august? And actually got any reply or change of status. I had my fi on 4th of august and my status has been "under review" ever since. It s quite frustrating, but i m still holding on.

Hi there, I'd like to reply again for both Emirates and Qatar but I have a problem; due to a car accident occured last year I have some visible scars on both of my arms (from shoulder to wrist). I remember during my final interview at Qatar to be asked of any visible marks..I don't know what to do..I guess my scars will fade away in 6-8 months. Should I wait or no?
Thank you guys!
Thank you guys!

Daisy86 I think yes, you should wait until they fade away, us girls are required to wear short sleeved blouses in our uniforms.
JewelF it's quite logical, you see, if they told you to wait for six months then wait those six months. Those invitations are just general, and you're just a month away.

DOJ 12th September
Hey everyone
I was wondering if anyone else will be heading out to Dubai next week to start their training with Emirates? I fly out next Tuesday from the UK.

Thanks for photo information - much appreciated. However just to clarify, we ARE allowed to stand in business attire with our arms in front? It is so hard to not look 'dorky' when letting your arms hang directly by your side.... Also, the casual photos need to be full length, correct?

Spikes, no worries, I hope that is what happened! 3 months is a long time to wait, I am sure people will want to know when you get a reply.
Soseck: My medical took about 48 hours to be approved... however, the girls I am going with, all took over a week and a half. I believe they may have just wanted to process them all together as I was last to submit So essentially could take a while or no time at all

Hey guys
I just realized that we're able to change name and email previously posted on the Ek Careers Website. Given my circumstance (had FI 2 years ago and ex-QR crew for 4 months and EK knows about it) I found it really helpful. I've changed everything from my previous "not successful" profile (name, email, nationality...) hoping they won't be able to track my record of why I didn't make it last time (was still working for QR) and therefore lessen my chances of getting turned down again due to having worked for QR. I'm attending the next OD and I don't know if I should mention I have been interviewed by them before. What if even after all these changes I've made they're still able to track me down?
Any insight on this? Anyone who got away with not telling them about being interviewed before?
Thanks

Medicals Headaches
Hey Everyone,
My DOJ is Sept. 26th (19 days from now) and I finally uploaded all my medicals forms onto the portal exactly 7 days ago, but still have not heard word back from Dubai. There was a slight hiccup in my process because I had to submit extra forms due to a couple knee surgeries I had 8 years ago. Everything I've read says that people have been approved within a week...do you think I should jump the gun and call HR to see what's up, or would that be overbearing? Patience is a virtue I'm having a hard time mustering right now!
