I'm not sure why I think this but - Japanese?

RegDep 20th January 2011 14:14

No idea, either, but not Japanese.

Look between the longitudes of the Netherlands and Japan, the shorter distance, not the longer.

And, BTW, the latitudes, too :8

RegDep 20th January 2011 14:33

One more thing: One built.

Ridge Runner 20th January 2011 14:40

Russian???

RegDep 20th January 2011 14:53

Not Russian RR

Ridge Runner 20th January 2011 15:29

give us a hint on the engines? Italian?

A Savoia Marchetti perhaps?

SincoTC 20th January 2011 15:36

Hello Reg,

I think its the Turkish Nuri Demirağ Nu.D.38 ??

RegDep 20th January 2011 15:37

German engines, Siemens.

The flying school of the builder is now a very major airport, and he has an (other) airport named after him.

Mails crossed. Yes TC, you are correct. NuD 38.

Nuri Demirag donated his flying school real estate to the Turkish government and Istambul Atatürk Airport is located there. Sivas Airport has recently been renamed Sivas Nuri Demirag Airport (LTAR/VAS) Sivas Nuri Demira? Hava Alan?

Over to you TC!

....:).....

SincoTC 20th January 2011 15:57

Thanks Reg, a good challenge!

I'm afraid that it'll have to be Open House now, as I'm off on dog/house duties very soon and won't be back until later this evening. Besides that, the one I have prepared is on my laptop at home (stupid or what), but more to the point it's in the same category as this and will no doubt have appeared on peoples searches for this one, so it'll have to lay low for a while :ugh:

Go for it RR

Ridge Runner 20th January 2011 16:29

Nice one, Reg!!!!!

RegDep 20th January 2011 17:06

I'll be off for the evening. Keep having fun!

Lightning Mate 20th January 2011 17:55

Go for it RR

Just beat me to it LM :ok:

'spect you saw I put the wrong type of bracket in the post so it didn't appear anyway, no harm done and now deleted. I think it would have been right up your street too :) ! Yours looks like skytrain territory to me!

Haven't got too much time to play at the moment, getting something to eat (if the dog doesn't get there first), then a house change and back again, but will leave light on.

Lightning Mate 20th January 2011 18:09

I don't think this one is up anyones' street mate.

BTW, we are are down in the southwest on leave soon..................

skytrain10 20th January 2011 18:15

Evening Gents...just a flying visit, but it does look very similar to a Diamond DA40 Star?

Lightning Mate 20th January 2011 18:19

duzdunnit - but no........

skytrain10 20th January 2011 18:25

Evening mate and greetings from Luxemburg....thought I'd go with the obvious first!

Lightning Mate 20th January 2011 18:30

Evening mate and greetings from Luxemburg
You in big travel mode again!

Me too sometime this year - trying to get to OZ & NOYADE.

skytrain10 20th January 2011 18:39

You in big travel mode again!
Yep, fly home tomorrow am,

trying to get to OZ & NOYADE
Well that kind of beats my 1 hour hops to Lux! You two going to sit and dream up some fiendish challenges? Any dates in mind?

I presume the challenge has no connection with Diamond aircraft...ie not a HOAC/Hoffman product?
