Not a Curtiss.

Ridge Runner 23rd June 2010 19:52

OK, but to save any hunting, it is a yank? A Seversky?

Ridge Runner 23rd June 2010 19:56

A Seversky 1XP?

skytrain10 23rd June 2010 19:57

It is from the US, but not a Seversky.

Ridge Runner 23rd June 2010 20:02

I think the clue is in the wing

Walter-Karl 23rd June 2010 20:13

Fairchild M-84C ?

Ridge Runner 23rd June 2010 20:15

Fairchild M-84?

skytrain10 23rd June 2010 20:26

Sorry RR, WK gets there first by 2 mins, its the Fairchild M-84. I'm not sure where the C suffix comes from, but its good enough for me!

Your have control WK.

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 07:28

The gods are silent again.

skytrain10 24th June 2010 11:25

Vey silent....I keep thinking its French (maybe a homebuild) but cant find anything that matches. Whats more frustrating is that I've seen this somewhere before....:ugh:

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 11:33

Me too.

I thought of Pander, Dessoutter and Deperdussin amongst others, but nothing matches.

Found some interesting stuff in my travels though.

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 11:40

Ahhh - sweepback!

Ridge Runner 24th June 2010 11:50

Is it actually so old?

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 11:56

Well, it ain't in Breguets', so you might well be right mate.

skytrain10 24th June 2010 11:58

I'm not convinced its that old....maybe 50's, or perhaps 60's.

Time to ponder over a spot of lunch!

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 12:29

The other thing which is bugging me is that very narrow in-line engine.

Lightning Mate 24th June 2010 13:05

You still working on this RR ?

Walter-Karl 24th June 2010 14:15

Skytrain10 is close. It is homebuilt and it is from France. and the era? the first one 1950 and the second one 1982, but maybe that one was not completed.
The designer created some more conventional and several unconventional types. Despite the ancient lines he had a somewhat contradicting name for this one

SincoTC 24th June 2010 14:42

Good afternoon Walter-K,

Could it be the Starck AS-90 "New Look" ??

I've been trying to find an illustration, but with no luck so far. I have to get back to work now, so plesae declare Open House if correct.
