The future is now orange again.

Self loading bear 20th Sep 2019 14:10

Then in the Netherlands?

dook 20th Sep 2019 14:25

Good afternoon Bear.

Not your country I'm afraid.

Self loading bear 20th Sep 2019 16:45

Then it was an orange herring?

dook 20th Sep 2019 16:48

I was not trying to mislead you.

It was a response to post #17040 by JENKINS.

chevvron 20th Sep 2019 16:56

Another one of those froggie ones?

Self loading bear 20th Sep 2019 16:59

Never mind.
I then can also discard the opportunity that Orange Future would be a lead to Japan.
I then assume the future is bright as a Blitz (Krieg)
So former Luftwaffe base?

dook 20th Sep 2019 17:38

chevvron - not France.

Bear - it's not a former Luftwaffe base, but was occupied by the Germans in WW2.

Self loading bear 20th Sep 2019 19:23

Poland perhaps?

dook 20th Sep 2019 20:05

It's north of Poland.

dook 21st Sep 2019 10:07

OK - north-west of Poland.

Allan Lupton 21st Sep 2019 11:39

Norway perhaps?

dook 21st Sep 2019 12:07

Now you are too far north.

Three countries comprise Scandinavia, so that's two to go.

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 12:58

I can't see any civilian infrastructure (most military airfields in Denmark double up as civil airports), so is it Vaerloese?

dook 21st Sep 2019 13:14

Bomb on target with Vaerloese. :ok:

Your turn.

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 13:27

Thank you dook!
Open House, I'm afraid...

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 17:20

Rugby watched, awaiting weather horrors tomorrow. Try this: never landed here, but passed by when wiring house of wife's sister.

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 17:31

Good afternoon JENKs. More of a round-ball man myself, currently following the Clash of the Titans that is Newcastle v Brighton. Anyway...
Lack of hedgerows would suggest mainland Europe? If I had to take a punt, I'd go for France.

dook 21st Sep 2019 17:38

Rugby ?.....Football ?.....

I only do the gentlemen stuff - golf. Just watched Ross Fisher ping an albatross on the eighteenth at Wentworth and bag an expensive BMW for his trouble.

You don't find these chaps arguing or shouting.

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 17:38

Keep punting, I hope that you punt from the correct end.

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 17:55

A BMW? Some of the people currently running around St James's Park could buy one of those on a day's wages, and they still can't (as yet) hit a barn door from three yards, sadly :)

Not France, but is mainland Europe correct, JENKINS?

dook 21st Sep 2019 17:59

Golfers aren't prima donnas.

Back to the challenge.

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 18:00

Very true indeed, dook.

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 18:09

Yes, Europe, and I stress mainland Europe. The sister of my wife, the target of the wiring, was ici today with husband and dog.

dook 21st Sep 2019 18:10

That sounds like France then.

Is the pic north orientated ?

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 18:21

The national designation of the large road, which is not a freeway, is the same as that of the nearest major trunk road to moi.

Yes to North.

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 18:22

Not France, I had already advised 'keep punting.'

jensdad 21st Sep 2019 18:24

Hmmm, could that be a reference to propelling a small boat along a canal? Are we near Venice?

sycamore 21st Sep 2019 18:24

J,they may have come over to move`in` as there was a Belgian `on the line`,or you may have wired the house up incorrectly.....

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 18:35

Punting was reference to the Oxford rather than the Cambridge mode of propulsion. For wiring, read 250 feet, 240 knots. It was a Mark 4 rather than a Mark 5. So, neither Belgium nor Venice.

sycamore 21st Sep 2019 18:45

Must be in SLB`s neighbourhood..?

dook 21st Sep 2019 18:45

I mis-read your punting reference also.

chevvron 21st Sep 2019 18:55

Is that circular thing a VOR?

dook 21st Sep 2019 19:02

Not with a building right next to it.

Holland ?

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 19:27

Not particularly close to The Netherlands, yet neither is it particularly far away, at 240 knots of course.

dook 21st Sep 2019 19:32

240 ? Finals was 190 !!

Sorry - not concentrating - watching the mammaries and bums show on BBC1.

We're not back in Denmark are we ?

Could be Germany.

Kemble Pitts 21st Sep 2019 19:47

Melle-Gronegau

Built by Montgomery's BAOR apparently. Now a mainly gliding site. Attended a fly in there this summer.

Kemble Pitts 21st Sep 2019 19:47

... and OH please.

JENKINS 21st Sep 2019 19:50

Yes, Melle. Wife's sister was with husband, a Brown Job, at Birdwood Barracks, Bunde.

OH declared from Gloucestershire.

dook 21st Sep 2019 19:50

Not another one :{
