"""Brittany??" Bit further west." I'd love to hear your navigation instructions to a pilot or a driver if a "bit further west" is half way across the world :O . |
Well done evansb, not an easy one :ok:
Here's another view taken heading north with most of the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in view - http://imageshack.us/a/img694/9991/4325t.jpg 500N, apologies, but by 'a bit further west' I meant North America. P.S. In my first pic there looks to be a widebody aircraft parked just adjacent the runway midpoint. |
Thank you. Here is the next mystery aerodrome:

Is this one also near Chesapeake Bay?
|
No. Aerodrome not in the U.S.A.
|
Do you at least want to give us a country or area of a continent
to start with ? I suppose if it is not the USA, it's a "little bit east" ?:O |
A little bit north.

Oi thinks 'e means Canadia

"A little bit north."
"Oi thinks 'e means Canadia" I think he has got LFT's desease :O |
Lots of weird names associated with this 'resort'.
Tyendinaga Airport Camp Mohawk originally Deseronto Airport in the first world war. A pal lives nearby. |

This has been my favourite thread on prune. However, the way the 'game' is currently played, is IMVHO, taking the fun and skill out of it.......I appreciate that I'm probably in a minority of one, but here goes (without any intention to cause personal offence). Firstly, shouldn't it be down to the person in 'control' to start posting clues, when he/she feels as though those guessing need a helping hand? Secondly, it seems at times as though we're playing the kiddies' 'yes/no' game. Is it Canada? Is it Botswana? etc etc. Finally, why do guessers feel the need to post their initial thoughts on geographical location, era, military or civil, favourite beer etc etc.? It takes most if not all, of the fun out of it. MODs your thoughts? Anyone share my views? If not, I'll crawl back into my box.

It's a free world ! I can understand your point of view.
I did a quick look back over the "game" and from the early pages all the way through and people have been asking questions like "Botswana ?"Is it guessing or trying to refine the search area based on clues we have already gleaned from the photo ? The other thing from my perspective, I don't ask for clues unless I have had a real good look at all of the clues in the photo first and used them to do some searching. Some clues you don't see at first ! Then if I am stuck I'll ask - No point in looking in Brittany if it is a "little bit west" in the USA :O On the other hand, having the photo sit around for a week with no responses gets a bit boring IMHO although I understand some people only log on once a week. . |
Re ...Current Challenge
Not Cleveland Hopkins. Gulfstreamaviator may have it but needs to confirm which airport as i am not familiar with the Macy's connection
