Dunno about the airfield used in the Churchill film, but most of it was filmed in and around my home town in Devon.

Jurby - the tower is original and still there.

Chitterne is a small village on Salisbury Plain in southern England. As it is a small village the forum member may well be the only flyer in the village...

The runway pattern reminds me of Sleap, where I learned to fly, but it's a very, very long time since I went there. And of course most WWII airfields had a similar pattern.

Regarding the lovely photo with Ansons, a Bulldog, Walrus (Seagulls?) and a Moth Minor, I doubt that it's Point Cook as I can't fit the "L" shaped configuration with the hangars in the background. Not very far away at Laverton, perhaps?
