Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 16:57

With a single vertical fin, surely that can't be a jet in front of it.

Therefore is it a piston job?

skytrain10 6th Aug 2011 17:19

With a single vertical fin, surely that can't be a jet in front of it.
But it is...a jet that is!

So what car did you get?

Edit to say going offline for a while. Will check in later this evening.

RegDep 6th Aug 2011 18:12

What I could make of the picture is that we might be seeing one of the two dorsal air inlets and the engine (one) would be down in the fuselage.

If there would be two in some kind of pods, we could explain away the single vertical fin, but could we then explain the low horisontal stabiliser?

See you guys in the morning. Nite!

skytrain10 6th Aug 2011 21:29

Evening all.

we might be seeing one of the two dorsal air inlets
There is just the one inlet mounted above the fuselage. Single jet engine.

First clue...this is a Project from a well known designer.

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 21:45

Evening Ken! :) Are you home now?

well known designer.
American? Grumman or maybe Gulfstream.

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 22:12

And last questions, for now :)
Tandem seating?
Jet exhaust at the extreme end of the tail?

skytrain10 6th Aug 2011 22:32

Morning Graeme. Yep, home for a few days at least :)

American? Grumman or maybe Gulfstream
Not American...a European design.

Tandem seating?
No....side-by-side seating

Jet exhaust at the extreme end of the tail?
No, the engine itself is immediately behind the intake....the exhaust appears to be directed either side of the vertical tail surface (I've reached that conclusion from the picture and 3-view).

Closing down in a few mins mate, but hopefully you've now got something to think about on your Sunday morning! :)

WOW! What you drew looks a lot like the Grumman Peregrine 600:

Graeme, the combined re-incarnation of Da Vinci-Rubens-Chagal :ok::

Stelio Frati F.1000

skytrain10 7th Aug 2011 07:38

Morning all / Evening Graeme

Graeme...I'm seriously impressed by your drawing,,,,so so close :ok: And not dissimilar to the Peregrine as spotted by Bri.

But Reg has it of course. Its the Frati F1000 from Italy. :ok:

Well done Reg and you have control

RegDep 7th Aug 2011 08:15

Thanks skytrain! For a while I was desperate…..

Now, while we are at it

skytrain10 7th Aug 2011 08:58

Mmm, twin jet, 2 seater? A project Reg?

Lightning Mate 7th Aug 2011 09:08

Morning all. :)

I wonder where you have been Reg!

Lightning Mate 7th Aug 2011 09:24

Can't find a pic yet, but a description of something called the Silver Arrow Small Aeroplane matches the layout.

RegDep 7th Aug 2011 09:24

Twin-twin. A project around an engine.

I've been around, Mate.

Not the Silver Arrow Small Aeroplane (although I have not seen picture either, would that be from Elbit?)

skytrain10 7th Aug 2011 09:27

The Luc Van Bavel project, based around the DGEN-380 turbofan?

Lightning Mate 7th Aug 2011 09:28

twin-twin....twin-twin....

Never heard that phrase before.

RegDep 7th Aug 2011 09:31

Luc Van Bavel project, based around the DGEN-380 turbofan
The Price Induction (!) DGEN-380 non-pressurized version

Well, too generous a clue, I made :suspect:

Yes, it is :ok:

Back to you!

Mate twin-engined, twin-seater. Neither had I :8. Edit: Although that was wrong. It appears to be a four-seater :O.

skytrain10 7th Aug 2011 09:49

Thanks Reg

Well, too generous a clue, I made
For what it's worth I hadn't seen your clue until I posted.

Not a twin jet project:

Air conditioned as well, and the whole roof is tinted glass.

RegDep 7th Aug 2011 10:41

Easy. You are a Daimler addict, aren't you?

Noyade 7th Aug 2011 10:50

I have checked this one against the list.
A job for Aerofiles?

Lightning Mate 7th Aug 2011 10:52

It is listed in Aerofiles.

RegDep 7th Aug 2011 10:59

Rich Twin 1-X-A

Lightning Mate 7th Aug 2011 11:00
