SincoTC 6th Aug 2011 12:50

Not pissed off either mate :{!

I should have known better, but the only other one I had ready was of an interesting machine, but only suitable image (for easy silhouetting) that I can find is of a model and the U/C differs substantially from the real thing!

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 12:53

e-mail it me then mate - I'll silhouette if for ya.

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 12:56

Quit your whining and start finding...:)

Built to race. Commissioned by an oil magnate. Famous manufacturer. The magnate eventually sold it to the U.S Navy for one dollar.

HappyPass 6th Aug 2011 12:56

Mmmh...
A racer?
Edit:

Built to race.
Nevermind :ok:

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 12:58

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 13:02

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 13:05

I have to go.

Re-arrange these words to make an answer...

Cox
Cactus
Curtiss
Kitten

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 13:06

I'll go for Kitten

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 13:08

Preceded of course by Curtiss.

You b:mad:d - a tripe!

Curtiss-Cox Cactus Kitten 2

Noyade 6th Aug 2011 13:09

Curtiss-Cox Cactus Kitten.

I'm done. Your control David!

Cheers.:ok:

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 13:10

I'm off to look at a car, so it will have to be Open House.

See you all later.

SincoTC 6th Aug 2011 13:19

Bugger me!!! Away from the keyboard for five minutes, Challenge is solved and all the green lights are out :ooh: !

Thanks for the offers LM and Graeme, but the real answer is that I'll have to get some decent image editing software. £10K's worth of solid modelling CAD software, but NBG for bitmaps!!

Good luck with the car hunting David :)

HappyPass 6th Aug 2011 13:20

Ok, then.

SincoTC 6th Aug 2011 13:37

Interesting one HP,

Project or built and flown?

Twin engines, underwing intakes like F-111?

Have to go soon too, will try and get back later

Catchya later if I can.

HappyPass 6th Aug 2011 13:38

Tech demonstrator.
Evalued as obsolete.
Cancelled. ;)

RegDep 6th Aug 2011 14:13

DASA company launched the project TDEFS (Technology Demonstrator for Enhancement and Future Systems). Once again it was faceted stealthy demonstrator, but a much universal then Lampyridae, optimized for the european battlefield. The second important change was the using of the two engines. The basic concept was tested on a serie of the small models in high speed wind tunnel called FTTU (Fliegender Technologie - Trager Unbemannet). But in this time the faceted technology was evaluated against curves as obsolete and the program was cancelled.

HappyPass 6th Aug 2011 14:28

Yep, that's the one!
Back to you Reg...:ok:

RegDep 6th Aug 2011 14:38

Thanks HP!

Back from looking at car - going to buy it.

There is no way in this world that you will believe what it is.

Lightning Mate 6th Aug 2011 15:58

Looks British.

Something like the Vickers Victoria or Valencia.

skytrain10 6th Aug 2011 16:13

Looks like there's a nosewheel...is it the Vickers Vimy Commercial?

RegDep 6th Aug 2011 16:43

Over to you :ok:.

skytrain10 6th Aug 2011 16:47
