Good morning. All very quiet so a clue to start the day.
This is a standard production aircraft whose ancestry can be traced back to a very well known light aircraft.

Hi Jake. No connection with the Tucano, but you are right, it is a training aircraft :ok:

Could it be a Fuji T-5? Similar to a Beech.

Hi Karl...not could...it is the Fuji T-5. Well done:ok:. Adapted from the KM-2 which was based on the Beech T-34, which design of course originated from the Beech 35 Bonanza. According to Wiki, a total of 40 were built and are in service with the JMSDF.

SNCAC/Nord NC.853?

Karlark 9th Oct 2011 17:37

Skytrain has control. :ok:

I had a feeling it would not last long.

skytrain10 9th Oct 2011 17:48

I had a feeling it would not last long.
Don't worry, I think my first post went quickly too! Saw quite a few NC.853's last year when I was in France. Nice, if somewhat quirky, looking aircraft.

And now for something a little different:

It seems to be in a museum. Did it ever fly?

Aaa. Fogle V333 Skycat, 1982, never flew.

It was in a museum although I am not sure it is still there. It never flew.

RegDep 9th Oct 2011 19:40

In Carolinas Aviation Museum, yes, was at least 2006.

skytrain10 9th Oct 2011 19:43

That's it Reg, the Foggle V333 Skycat:ok:

Picture taken at the Carolinas Aviation Museum, although its not showing in their current list of exhibits. One website claimed it was being restored. Perhaps we may see it fly after nearly 30 years!

Your control RegDep

RegDep 9th Oct 2011 20:34

Thanks Skytrain. A really nice challenge. I will not be able to monitor for long, so Open House, I'll be back in the morning.

skytrain10 10th Oct 2011 13:02

Been open house too long!
