Hello,

Just passing through, I thought I'd give it a try; is it a Mitsubishi KI.2 Type 93?

RegDep 7th Oct 2011 19:04

Or, if not that, why not Junkers S 36/K 37?

Spit161 7th Oct 2011 20:24

License built Junker - Ju86?

Noyade 7th Oct 2011 20:36

Mitsubishi KI.2
Well done Karlark! :ok: Welcome to the forum! Your control....

Karlark 7th Oct 2011 21:01

Thank you.
Open house.

evansb 7th Oct 2011 22:56

Wow, a guy just passing through declares 'open house'. Will wonders never cease..?
Anywho, here is the next silhouette challenge:

Sorry, I have lurked here a little bit, so, I am familiar with this aircraft identification thread. I am not sure how to make a good sillhouette picture to ID, though. :)

Another very difficult one I see above. It appears to be a light aerobatic or sport aircraft, like a Sukhoi 29, but not.

Edit: the wings look very long.

Scan and paint, mate. The method of champions. :ok:

Having said that, no idea what Bri's is, but the style looks very familiar.....:)

American?

RegDep 8th Oct 2011 06:18

Karlark, you are making history here: first stab wins, and your first one is the 3001st if this segment of the thread.

Welcome, and please stay! Silhouetting is easy, and it is more important that we have many who do it, not that they are perfect masterpieces (although we can appreciate good ones when we see them ).

Once again, stay with us and have fun. There are people who may do silhouetting for you to let you warm up your artistic engines and teach you how to make them.

Just whistle (you know how to whistle?)

Reg

It is American. Powered by an engine from a little-known manufacturer with historical connections.

skytrain10 8th Oct 2011 08:52

Bri, see you are still online....would this a homebuild aerobatic machine, or are we looking at a one off? Midwing I guess? With that high undercarriage it reminds me of a RC aircraft:)

skytrain10 8th Oct 2011 12:33

Morning Brian...looks like the Thalman T-3B (in its conventional as opposed to T-tail form).

And welcome to the thread Karlark. Hope you can stick around:ok:

evansb 8th Oct 2011 17:42

skytrain is spot on:ok: The one-off Thalman T-3B. Your control.

skytrain10 8th Oct 2011 18:10

Thank you evansb.

Here's the next one:

Is the wing configuration somehow unusual?

Like negative sweep?

skytrain10 8th Oct 2011 18:19

Evening Reg....no, nothing unusual. Flaps are down if that helps put things in perspective?

Edit to say, no, not negative sweep.

evansb 8th Oct 2011 18:21

Looks similar to the Grob G.120..

skytrain10 8th Oct 2011 18:23

Not a Grob

evansb 8th Oct 2011 18:24
