OK. Time to stab blindly.

American?
Grumman Tiger?

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 08:58

Have decided to withdraw the challenge as either nobody around or it's just too difficult!
Sorry about your challenge Ken but I didn't spend much of the weekend at home. All efforts to google ended up with some sort of RC aircraft. It's still etched in my brain! :)

Ridge Runner 26th Sep 2011 09:02

Morning all!!!

Serbian????

Edit: oo er ....... is it still up or not?? Thanks mate

RegDep 26th Sep 2011 09:05

Good morning gentlemen!

My challenge is not European. The claw is probably a pair of probes, for a specific reason I guess.

skytrain10 26th Sep 2011 09:05

Morning Martin...current challenge is Reg's Post 2753. Cheers

SincoTC 26th Sep 2011 09:05

Morning all :)

Been offline all weekend!

Reg, good to you back :ok:, is youirs the Mahindra C-NM5 ??

Will be in the workshop most of the day away from PC, so OH please if correct. Sorry you had a quiet time with your challenge Ken, it looked like a good one! Maybe see it again some time ??

Edit: Good evening Graeme and thanks :ok:

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:07

And the swooper strikes! :ok:

RegDep 26th Sep 2011 09:10

Yes, Swooper, it is the Indian Mahindra C-NM5 prototype in its maiden flight.

Open House, as requested.

And Skytrain, I sure worked on you challenge, but to no avail :uhoh:.

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:12

Another swooper....I was was attacked twice today...:ooh:...

Yeah...right...

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:18

I've got plenty of jet exhausts, but no silhouettes.

Ken, time for the "American Racer with Pusher Prop"....?

skytrain10 26th Sep 2011 09:18

Now I really know why Ned Kelly had a tin hat!

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:24

Interesting that you mention Ned, he made the news again earlier this month...

131 years on, Ned Kelly mystery is laid to rest

skytrain10 26th Sep 2011 09:24

Ken, time for the "American Racer with Pusher Prop"....?
Does that mean you now know what it is? :):):).

Guys, do you want me to post it again?

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:27

No.....:(

Need more clues.

Guys, do you want me to post it again?
:ok: But I can't stay too long. As the "swooper" always says, "early start tomorrow"...

Back by popular demand, Friday's unsolved challenge:

http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/b5410e94.jpg

So far we know:
- post 2000 design
- 1 built
- American (USA)
- racing aircraft

The designer has also piloted a number of racing aircraft.

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:33

Is the engine a turboprop? Big dorsal scoop?

skytrain10 26th Sep 2011 09:39

Is the engine a turboprop? Big dorsal scoop?
Not a turboprop - a V8!
Dorsal scoop - yes.

Although designed primarily as a racer there was another target in mind - which has never been achieved.

RegDep 26th Sep 2011 09:43

Well, I found some doctoral thesis stuff about designing a pusher for Red Bull races…. :ooh:.

Is there a canard?

skytrain10 26th Sep 2011 09:45

Don't think this would qualify for the Red Bull competition.

Is there a canard?
No canards Reg.

Noyade 26th Sep 2011 09:45

another target in mind
World speed record for a prop driven aircraft?
