Eurostar....well there's the Evektor EV-97 Eurostar. That was previously known as the Aerotechnik EV-97 Eurostar, and I believe in the UK it was marketed for a while as the Cosmik EV-97 etc etc. I can't any other Eurostars!! Then there is the TeamEurostar range....which is just a homebuild Eurostar.
Going to shut down now, so if any of those are correct make it Open House:ok: Night |
Swoop, swoop!!!! Evening all :)
Just managed to get the WiFi connection sorted at the house where I'm dog sitting, so I thought I'd look in before bed. Reg; Looking at the clues, I guess that you may mean it's the original Aerotechnik EV-97 Eurostar, before they got taken-over by Evektor?? Edit: If that is correct, then I'm glad to see that Ken has got there first, he deserves it, and I would have asked for an OH anyway as I'm hitting the hay too! Goodnight gentlemen :ok: |
Well, I think that's it. The type certification that the picture was taken from was on Cosmik Aviation EV-97 teamEurostar http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/1419/20110...EurostarUK.pdf - I just missed the connection :uhoh:.
Open House, then (on Skytrain's account). Good Night. |
Thanks Reg. Unfortunately the EuroStar has been one of an increasingly large number of aircraft that goes under several names. Very popular in the UK with over 160 on the register!
Seems that no takers around today so I'll take up my own Open House: http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/5d3e19df.jpg |
I'll take up my own Open House: Does the starboard wing-tip make it look like there's a ventral jet engine? Forgive me, I'm a little obsessed with jet pipes at the moment. :) |
What do you call those up-turned wing tips? Vortex generators or something? Does this thing have HUGE ones that interfere, silhouette wise, with the tail/fuselage line making it look like there's a dorsal fin extension?
|
Morning Graeme
But got sidetracked with jet rear-ends. Does the starboard wing-tip make it look like there's a ventral jet engine? European design. Edit to say...not sure what the technical name is for them, but they are not huge, more just the proximity and angle of the camera to the aircraft.. |

Whatever takes your fancy mate! Close?... http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/1962/5d3e19df.jpg |
Now I'm trying to figure out what the hell that monument(?) is in the background. I get distracted easily...
|
Kitplane/homebuilt?
|
Sorry mate, was distracted looking at Mel's tail end!
Don't focus on the monument - not really sure what it is myself. Looks like its made of rubber! Not a homebuild. Edit, internet connection is very slow so only just seen your winglet drawing....no nothing like that. They are not unlike the EuroStar's, but they are bigger. Going to hit the hay now, so will check-in in the morning. |
would it be Polish, Ken??
