PaperTiger 1st Aug 2007 20:24

No takers at all ?

I haven't the faintest idea, but I'll say Sandown.

The SSK 1st Aug 2007 21:14

Hmm, here's a clue, or maybe not..

evansb 1st Aug 2007 23:33

Southend (EGMC) by-the-sea?

The SSK 2nd Aug 2007 10:08

Might another piccie provide more clues?
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d4...K/AeroPic3.jpg

barry lloyd 2nd Aug 2007 10:40

Tiger_mate 2nd Aug 2007 16:28

Next: Northern hemisphere
http://www.artistic.flyer.co.uk/onowhatnow.jpg
Its a runway sweeper on the runway

NATOPotato 2nd Aug 2007 17:15

 Is it Ternhill?

MReyn24050 2nd Aug 2007 18:29

NATOPotato

I would say you are spot on there.

Tiger_mate 2nd Aug 2007 18:54

So would I, in fact:
NATOpotato has the lead:D

NATOPotato 2nd Aug 2007 19:31

Oops, looks like I was right. Please give me a few minutes to find a piccy and a few hours to work out how to post it and I will have something. The clue was the name. Tiger, Tiger, Tiger - rah rah rah - had to be something to do with Brit-mil rotary.

Tiger_mate 2nd Aug 2007 19:39

I might have been:

Lightning
Phantom
Hawk

But then again, jets are for kids!

The clue was in the non standard markings on every runway, and the 2 mounds on the right side where sloping ground landings are practiced.

NATOPotato 2nd Aug 2007 20:00

Off the beaten path

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...chAirfield.jpg
Lets see if this works. This airfield is a tad off the beaten path, but certain folk will know it well.

Tigermate, sorry for the mis-ident, I automatically assumed 230 Sqn Pumas, not plank-wing. I must try harder.

NATO Potato

Speedpig 2nd Aug 2007 20:15
